“Central location for tour of temples in Bagan”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2014

Stayed here last month whilst travelling in Myanmar and enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff were attentive and the chalet type rooms were excellent and spacious. The hotel was central to the major temples and I rented a bike for a day and covered most of them including a ride into nearby Nyaung U and New Bagan. I only had breakfast at the hotel, which was a well varied mixture of european and asian options. The pool was well used in the afternoon as even in the low season, it was pretty hot.

We stayed here 4 nights and very much enjoyed it, Our room was very comfortable although the air conditioning broke down one night. The pool is large and we were delighted to be able to relax beside it in the heat of the day. We ate breakfast in the dining room, which was excellent, but we dined elsewhere since the dinner menu looked very expensive by local standards. In fact the dining room was largely deserted in the evenings, probably because other guests came to the same conclusion. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We really liked the fact that you could walk to some of the temples, and were close to bike rental outlets and horse drawn carriages.

This hotel is very average, rooms for the price are tired, no internet in the rooms at all, complained a number of times but to no avail, every time in reception the staff very on the net !!!!!!!
Pool got greener by the day, tiles need cleaning.
Staff seem disinterested in anything except their own internet.
Breakfast was good, egg station, fresh fruit was nice.
For the price I feel other hotels are a better option.

Room Tip: Go some where else.

The hotel was excellent. Great spacious room, excellent staff very helpful and always pleasant. The grounds were beautiful, nice pool and very close to the ancient sites. The restaurant was good, service was excellent, just wish the restaurant had air conditioning. Great massage at the spa. Highly recommend the hotel.

Maybe because of the low-season, but we were allowed to check-in already at 8am. They also gave us a complimentary late check-out. I believe most hotels would charge for this.

Upon arrival we were greeted with a welcome drink by the friendly staff. Rooms were large, nice and clean. Breakfast had a nice selection of fruit juices, although the dinner menu is somewhat limited (and perhaps a bit pricey) but the quality of the food was very good!

Location is perfect for exploring the temples and pagodas. Some restaurants within walking distance.

During midday, when it's too hot to sightsee, take advantage of the gardens, the pool and nice cocktails from the bar.

To sum up, early check-in and late check-out was a very much appreciated gesture. Staff very friendly providong good service. We would return to this hotel should we go back to Bagan!

This Hotel has a great location just at the entrance of Old Bagan. The rooms are spacious the bathrooms a bis small.
The food is OK but I must mention the wonderful cold draft beer at the bar! What a wonderful refreshment after all the pagodas and buddhas! The pool is large and it is great to have a break and a snooze there after the morning tour and before the afternoon or evening tour.
The breakfast was the worst of all in Myanmar and the staff did not know how to make a cafe latte!! One day it was coffee and milk on ice cubes, the other day it was a cappuchino The waffes were ok.
The staff was very helpful in organizing a guide and we were able to have a late check out free of charge.

Great location for seeing Bagan. Service was good and our room was very nice. The pool area was great for resting between templing and pagoding. Breakfast was good but dinner wasnt all that good especially given the price. There are plenty of good VERY cheap options right outside the hotel.
