“Attractive setting but below average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

After reading TA reviews, we looked forward to eating here. The food did not come up to scratch - the spring rolls were good, but the chapati and veg curry dish was decidedly mediocre, and a tomato curry lacked curry flavour at all. The fruit plate served as dessert was a welcome touch, especially as it also had a honey and black pepper sauce, which was the star of the evening.

“Nice vegetarian”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012 via mobile

This place has wonderful vegetarian food. Good coffees, wonderful guacamole. Good place for lunch if you are biking between all the pagodas and want to relax a while.

“Burmese Food at its best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

We enjoyed local specalities (tamarind, sticky rice and also typical burmese food) prepared in a way for people from abroad in that nice restaurant with perfect service.

“Good restaurant for lunches”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

A nice place to stop for a lunch and have a break during the midday heat. Menu is quite varied even though all vegetarian. Can become quite busy especially with group tourists. The noodles and the spring rolls are the best dishes of this restaurant. They even provide you with local tamarind sweets together with the bill. Staff quite efficient on first order, but if you order a second time they tend to relax a bit and serve other newcomers before they serve your order. Happened twice in two separate occasions. Prices of dishes start as low as US$2.

“Looks nice, tastes bad”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

A charming little outdoor garden eatery, twinkly lights, candles and a veggie menu. One portion of fried rice please.....25 minutes later out came one portion of noodles.....10 minutes later out came one portion of extremely greasy fried rice and a mad dash back to the Inn at Tharabar Gate. Cheap and friendly staff so probably just an off day for us.
