Measured off from Kawah Ijen, of couse the nearest homestay is at Pos Paltuding, there are few modest shelters which you can choose from.
There are only 2 rooms which priced 75,000Rp per night and 3 rooms for 135,000Rp pernight. I prefer the first, since there is nothing different in facility, only the larger size of room choice.
Nothing else for the facility. There is no hot water, but just lavatory with insuficient water and no bath pack. Since at this place the water source drainage has not been built yet.
“Still the best option for travelers who want to start hiking very early to catch the sunrise on the summit of the volcano. This is a great accomodation especially for photographer who want to stay for few days and take some photos around the plateau. Again, there is no electricity. In case you need to recharge the battery pack, celular phone or some gears, please ask to Pak. Rohamah, the owner of stall to plug in, since he is the only one who run a portable electric generator. Of course, he only operates it after dusk up to late night. Use only universal charger, the voltage is unstable”.
