Stayed at Femina for a couple of nights in 07/09 with my wife . The hotel itself is quite shabby and its obvious that the management are in the middle of some serious cost cutting. The lobby is fairly impressive but the first disconcerting sign was the fact that the aircon in the lobby was switched off while the temperature outside was pushing 40+ degrees. Rooms are spacious and clean enough but look like they haven`t been refurbished in the last few decades. The airconditioning was powerful but the bed was on the firm side. The bathroom is huge and has round the clock running hot water but no bath. The room also has a balcony, although ours had a clear, uninterrupted view of the stables to the back of the hotel.
The hotel does have a swimming pool but we did not visit it. The hotel has two restaurants- the complimentary breakfast is mostly Indian but they did have some corn flakes, juices and toast.
On a positive note, the service at the hotel was really good- the staff were courteous and helpful, our room was cleaned daily and all our requests were promptly met. For this sole reason, plus the fact that many of the other options available online are twice as expensive, I may still consider staying at Femina when I visit Trichy next (Having said that, we passed many hotels that looked modern and impressive (at least from the outside) and I am sure some of them are far cheaper than Femina. If you are the more adventerous type, you may even want to consider looking for a hotel once you get to Trichy)
