“Small basic museum”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2013

We made a stop here and a guide told us the history of it. The views from here is amazing but the museum was just ok. I went in and looked around for maybe 5 minutes and was ready to go.

“History in real life”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

I remember reading all about Mary and Louis Leakey - to be where they made there discoveries was amazing. Our sons - ages 21 and 19 - found it all super interesting as well - this is history in real life. The place itself is tiny - but we all enjoyed going through the exhibits even though my sons/husband are not museum goers.

“Basic but charming”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

This reminded me of 50s style museums at home, the kind before they used primary colours and became interactive. It had plaster casts of the famous footprints and some skulls of prehistoric animals. There was a small gift shop and an outdoor lecture theatre where a guide gave a short history of the site and its finds. The view over the Gorge is amazing. The excitement is in just being there.

Good visitor centre with some very informative displays and interesting artefacts. Very good talk from one of the researchers.

“OK”

Not the best place to visit and also not the worst I suppose I was expecting slightly more from our visit so left a bit disappointed.
