“Freezing and miserable”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2008

We thought this was an awful place, looking and feeling like a down-at-heel council estate. Our room was nasty and damp and the only place to sit on a cold day was right next to the fireplace in the very basic dining room. The food was OKish, but nowhere near the standard of the other lodges we stayed in. Best avoided.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2008

The Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge is a great place where you will get your money's worth. The accomodation was very comfortable, the beds where great, the bathroom super clean, although very little hot water...but is very understandable because they are trying to maintain their impact to the environment to a minimum.

The food was great and the main house has a good bar and a beautiful fire going to unwind after a long day of Safari in the Ngorongoro Crater.

Enjoy some pics...
