“What a friendly, clean and wonderfully located little hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2012

I enjoyed the friendly and helpful service of Natasha, the one girl working at the front desk. The rooms are all decorated in a unique and interesting way and it is extremely close to the sea. Some rooms even have a sea view. It is a wonderful hotel for families to go to during summer. I went back 4 times during my stay in South Africa. You will love it!

I enjoyed my stay and were satisfied with the facilities in relation to what I have paid for my acccommodation.

You are getting good value for money in a decent facility. I do not have any complaints. The location of the hotel near the beach and the secure parking also counts in their favour.

I will stay there again.

Some hotels can really learn from the service we received. Although we only stayed one night we could not fault the staff or accommodation on nothing. The location is perfect, right on the beach and close to restuarants.

Staying at the Point Village Hotel in Mosselbay was absolutely wonderful. The staff at the hotel is extremely friendly and helpful.

The view onto the ocean and the lighthouse was magnifisant. The rooms were very clean and the facilities were exquisite.

I would recommend for anyone to do themselves a fovour, when in Mosselbay and stay at the Point Village Hotel.

It was an amazing experience!

Thank you for making my holiday even better!

Regards
Rene Viljoen

Room Tip: Corner suites are large and sunny with amazing views

I stayed there alone on two separate nights about a week apart while traveling for work. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean when I got there, even though I got there earlier than the clock in time (although the bathroom smelled of smoke when I first arrived but this vanished soon enough when I left the door and windows open). Since I was just traveling through the DSTV was nice company at night. The bed was very comfortable with really nice pillows. The hotel is located in a very touristy area of town so a place to eat or go out is within a five minute walking distance. My room had a view of the sea which was was basically on the doorstep although the coastline there is rocky and if you want to swim you'll need to take a drive. There's a hike along the coastline and that was a nice walk during the afternoon.

The Point Village Hotel has made a significant statement with its presence at the entrance to the popular Mossel Bay Point recreational area. The Point Village Hotel offers luxury accommodation in 16 en-suite rooms, each with its own kitchenette, as well as 7 suites with self catering facilities, each with 2 en-suite bedrooms and fully equipped kitchens and 6 fully self catering units with 3 bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms, lounge, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. The atmosphere is chic yesterday that blends with modern today in a relaxing holiday feeling. The hotel rooms are very spacious, luxurious and furnished in contemporary stylish but unpretentious themes. The hotel has not only become popular with South Africans but has also become a first night venue for hikers on the World Renowned Oystercatcher Trail. A typical quote is from Gary Welsh, the leader of one of the hiking groups who spent a night here on Sunday last week, before setting off on the 4 day walk along the coast to Gouritz River, "Great and spacious rooms, modern and in a way futuristic. The decor is stimulating and unusual, moving away from the normal ‘copy and paste style’ of most hotels. The locality is indeed, unbeatable." ... more   less
