We stayed here as part of our honeymoon in SA.

The arrival with champagne and breadsticks was fabulous. Our room/tent was spotless and we were welcomed with a complimentary bottle of champagne.

Everything was first rate including the food. The lunch time menu - chicken breast with fig's was the best chicken I have ever eaten in my life.

The safaris with picnic were great, as was our guide and we saw all the animals. The staff were wonderful and friendly.

We also went for a couple's massage and facials which were really good and relaxing, we even fell asleep.

It is just so tranquil and beautiful here..
I cannot recommend it enough and would definitely go back again. I can't fault anything.

We recently visited this game park as part of our first trip to South Africa. All I can say is "what a place!" Obviously this is not a national park, but as an introduction to the safari experience this was fantastic. We saw all the animals we wanted to see and some at very close range. We even had rhinos on our front doorstep one evening which was amazing. The catwalk is very exciting and the guides do their best to make sure everyone is safe and comfortable, even very nervous Australian dads. The accommodation is warm and inviting,we stayed in the manor house which is excellent for children . The food is amazing as are the restaurant staff. A big thanks to Marco, our guide who had a great knowledge of the animals and plants and made every effort to ensure we saw as much as possible. Great Stay!

Stayed for 2 nights and treated well from beginning to end. Food was excellent. Got to eat, blesbok, kudu, warthog, sable, crocodile and many other game. 5 courses dinners for both nights and wonderful breakfasts. Was too full to eat lunch so just 2 meals a day sufficient.

Executive tent amazing. Away from lodge and most tents, feels like we on an island as have to cross a river by pulling ourselves across on a pontoon (with help from ranger if want). A lovely unique experience. the golf carts are just a phone call away to fetch us when want to go to restaurants etc. We had heaters and electric blankets, but didn't use either as didn't feel need to. Was very safari like at night to snuggle up in high quality bedding hearing animals around tent. Mainly monkeys that also like to jump on roof. We had lots of different antelope come hang out near our tent. We had tent with private pool but being winter it was too cold to use. But makes us think we will defiantly come back in Summer.

The rangers are lovely and kids were able to learn alot about wildlife on the game drive.
We did the elephant feeding too which was fun and the ranger took lovely pictures with our camera. The animals wander around and we saw Rhinos, Giraffe, Buffalo, Wildebeest and many antelope walk past tents.

Our stay was faultless. Cant wait to return.

Room Tip: All tents seem very much the same, just location of executive tents a golf cart drive away or longis...

We could only spend one night at Botlierskop due to the high demand over weekends :) My wife spoiled me for my my birthday and I must say I was a stunning experience. From the champagne on arrival, the luxury tents, game drive and cat walk. The highlight was the catwalk - walking with Lions early on on a Sunday morning cannot be beaten. The food was very good and we were fortunate to have Sable on the menu the Saturday night. The animals are extremely tame and 4 out of the 5 big 5 was easily spotted - Staff very friendly and you get treated as a king.

My husband spoiled me for my birthday, from the minute go when we arrived at the game farm we were treated very well, Chanell our tourguide is a very pleasant person and will go the extra mile to assist. The horse ride was devine, the walk with the elephants was wonderful and the guide was telling us a lot about the elephants. The dinner was excellent and after coming from dinner big suprise in the tent, there was rose leaves on the floor and around the tub the warm blankets was on, there was a drink on the dressing table and a chocolate. Thanks Botlierskop staff you are great.

Room Tip: The room we had was fine

Based on the good reviews posted on this site, I chose this establishment as the destination to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday....and how truthful the many reviews proved to be.
We loved every second that Botlierskop had to offer. We expereinced a well managed establishment run by the nicest, friendliest and passionate people you could wish to meet. Good food, great activities and clean amenities. Thank you everybody for making our weekend a truly "Unforgettable" expereience

Room Tip: The accomodation on the other other side of the river are tranquil and peaceful.

I booked this as a special treat for my Husbands Birthday, we were going to be in the area helping my Mother In Law move house, and after reading the reviews, booked this, I did not regret it. The settings, the staff, the foods, the wildlife, the experience....all absolutely fantastic.

On arrival our Guide Chanelle greeted us in a very friendly way, we were shown to the terrace where she arranged a welcome drink. After Checking In, we arranged to have some lunch and opted for a Sandwich each, we could not believe what we received, it was superb. We were then taken down to our tent by a golf buggy, and shown around and shortly afterwards made our way back for our first experience - riding on the back of an Elephant, this was so relaxing and our excellent Guide who rode with us made us feel very safe and told us lots of information as we walked for about half an hour. We then stopped by the water where the elephants had treats and they took our camera to take lots of photographs.
Back to the tent to freshen up and change for dinner, the Golf Buggy came back to pick us up, and again on entering the Restaurant we received a friendly prompt greeting, we were offered a drink by the fire, and then shown to our table. The atmosphere in there was lovely, the very friendly waitress told us about the food we would be offered, and I was astounded by how many courses we were offered, all absolutely superbly cooked. Back at the Tent and although cold outside, it wasn't in, and the electric blankets on the very comfy bed, made for a very comfortable night.
The next morning up very early for a Game Drive, Chanelle was very informative all the way through the drive which lasted 3 hours. Back to the Restaurant for Breakfast, which again was superb, time to relax before our next experience in the afternoon, Walking with the Lions - amazing, and again another very informative Guide, and a superb afternoon.
The next day we were booked onto a Horse Safari, another wonderful experience, so peaceful, thoroughly enjoyed it.
In summary, this has to be the best, most relaxing, and unforgettable experiences I have had in a long time, and really recommend the additional experiences of the Cat Walk and Elephant Back Ride.
