“I would give it 5 but......”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2013

The beds were so hard and the pillows somewhat inadaquate.
This is the movie experiance of the desert everyone hopes their trip will be!! It was wonderful to be greeted by dancers and singers, mint tea served by costumed 'Laurence of Arabia' type server and find a real camel in the courtyard.
Loved the indoor pool and hot tub-so nicely done.
The room was eye candy great!!! We couldn't stop looking at all the little details-almost like a Bedouin tent in the sleeping area and a very mordern bathroom attached. Lots of fossil acents. Very spacious. Should warn that there is almost no soundproofing between rooms LOL.
Lovely courtyard. Supper and breakfast buffet was good and well maintained.
This is a remote location -we stayed here so we could ride the camels in the dunes at dawn.

Room Tip: All rooms are amazing!!

You will feel like you are in your own little world in this desert hotel. The rooms are more like a suite. The grounds are covered in palms and singing birds. There is both an indoor and outdoor pool. The rooms are very unique and not your normal hotel rooms. Don't know about the price since it was included in our tour. There is good free wifi in the rooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. Plenty of hot water. Only downside is the lights are pretty dim in the room but we found this all over Morocco.

The greeting of dancers, music and tea was just the beginning of a magical Moroccan night. Dinner outside by the pool with camels walking up to visit with us. The rooms, with the tile work and fossil accents were so beautiful. We wished we could stay there one more night. Highly recommend this stop.

This hotel is well placed for a visit to the high dunes at Erg Chebbi and the "fossil factory".Devonian era fossils are infused into the Hotel's sinks which is certainly different. The rooms were decorated in Berber style. The restaurant served food in buffet style with a wide selection-the desserts were particularly attractive and the prices for wine were reasonable. We found our room to be spacious and comfortable especially as the room temperature was easy to adjust

There was music and hot tea upon our arrival to this hotel on spacious and invitingly decorated/landscaped grounds. Our deluxe room was huge and could be described as Moroccan chic. Shower and a large jacuzzi tub are in the multi roomed bathroom. There were 2 plasma TVs in our bedroom and sitting room. The down side to the room is that the beds are rock hard as are the pillows. Buffet dinner was good, buffet breakfast was not.

All of us on our Gate 1 Morocco trip were surprised to find this beautiful hotel on the edge of the desert. The grounds were consistent with the Berber surroundings; the rooms were attractive and beautifully decorated. The buffet restaurant had a good selection of dishes for every taste. In fact, all of the hotels provided by Gate 1 on its 13 day Moroccan Kaleidoscope tour were of this quality. We were pleased at every stop with the accommodations the company provided.

Splurge and stay a night! The authentic fossil sink in the room is worth the stay. The rooms were decorated in typical Moroccan decor complete with natural mineral lamps and the grounds offered a spa, pool, and mini golf. Absolutely charming and worthy of your dirhams!

Room Tip: Take a junior suite.
