“The Ritz of the Sahara. Most unique and elegant property!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

This property is on the edge of the Sahara Desert. One would not expect such an upscale property to exist in this part of Morocco. The hotel is unbelievable and I have stayed in a lot of hotels. Unique, elegant, mysteriously delightful might be better words to describe this property. Rooms are wonderful very unique, food and staff are just superb. Their pool is just beautiful with a terrific Spa that is the absolute best. For the shopper they have a wonderful local store with copious Moroccan art that are fascinating along with in house spa products. Just a very nice place with excellent service and adminities. Rent a Land Rover and go see the great Sahara. Just a great time and plenty to keep you busy if relaxing isn't your desire. A+ experience! Kudos!!

The hotel is place in an old traditional Kasbah which has been renovated. The countryside around is beautiful. Rooms are pracital. Food at the restaurant needs improvement though. Other places like the indoor swimming pool and the minigolf need renovation because of some mistakes in use and construction. Why you need to book the sauna at the main reception when you are already undressed and at the spa reception is not really understandable for me.

Spent 1 night at this hotel with a bus tour - when we pulled up there was a tall gentleman dressed in flowing white robes waiting to escort us into the hotel. We were greeted by musicians, dancers & mint tea.

The buffet dinner & breakfast were absolutely delicious.

Large comfy rooms awaited us. The beds were a bit hard -the mattress was on a cement slab. The bathroom was large & could be occupied by several people at once -separate shower & toilet areas

The pool & lounge area were very inviting. The staff were friendly & extremely helpful. Wish I could have spent a couple more nights.

We loved the spacious rooms set in rows around courtyards. The rooms are decorated in Moroccan Kasbah style and utilise fossil stone and sumptuous furnishings. The large pool was welcome in the heat, but we found the restaurant food less exciting.

This hotel is more ethnic and Moroccan in style which makes it an interesting stay. Local materials have been used in the design of the rooms and surroundings. There is a lovely pool surrounded by date palms and flowering shrubs. The complex is quite large and some rooms are spread out around the site. A stroll through the gardens at night to the dining room is pleasant. Food was buffet style and there was a good choice. This hotel not 5* but fun for a short stay, even the camels in their enclosure on the car park are friendly! Enjoy.

Hotel is in very beautiful setting about 5 km from town. Spacious room with separate areas for bathroom and shower. The buffet dinner was excellent with plenty of choices. Our room was a long walk to the dining room and a flash light would have helped lighten up the grounds which were a bit hard to see at night. The pool looked inviting though we didn't have time to enjoy it as we arrived late in the evening and left early the next morning. It is a great hotel to relax after a day out in the desert.

Whilst it is situated out of the town of Erfoud and once there there is no where else to go, it good after a long drive. The pool was welcomed.
The food was OK - dinner and breakfast.
The room and bathroom was spacious.
