“Excellent hotel close to centre of town.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2012

Only stayed the one night and would normally be reluctant to judge hotel with a top rating on that basis. However, I assess upon my own experience of it even though I may have been lucky. The hotel itself is located on the main road into Erfoud and town centre can be walked in 15 minutes even with large case This is great if travelling by Supratours for their office/bus pickup, whereas if travelling by car there are also a number of good hotels seen just outside the town.
However, from moment arrived the service was excellent and no quibble about my arriving early to check in. Only booked as single room, but immediately given a huge double room where clearly of 4* standard. Didn't require all the extras such as hairdrier , trouser press, iron etc but all there for guests who did. Room was also of sufficient large size to easily accommodate the sofa and two armchairs should you wish to invite any friends around. There were two separate rooms for toiletries, being a bath/shower in one with separate wash basin, and a toilet with bidet and another washbasin in the other. All very comfortable and cleanliness was as high as enjoyed in any of the other 10 hotels in which stayed on this 5 week trip. Room was nicely heated at night with thermostatic controls maintaining even temp.
Also the hotel was well designed with most rooms surrounding the pool. Gardens were all well maintained and no dirty corners anywhere. Service was also really good, and I was pleased being asked if perhaps I may wish to have breakfast brought out to me by pool, rather than in the restaurant itself. Also, before leaving I asked about what time I would be required to leave bearing in mind I was not catching overnight bus to Fez until later evening. Reply I received was " You should vacate your room by midday, but you may enjoy the facilities of the hotel until it is time for you to leave" These sort of replies are good to receive particularly when there is a large pool with loungers, nice gardens and toilet/washroom facilities to enjoy. Further the food was all excellent, although probably lucky in that two coaches of Chinese stayed that night. Besides being able to choose from traditional Moroccan cuisine , I was also able to enjoy the very best prepared and most tasty chinese dishes I had in a long time. Just meant that I had to start at opposite end of buffet tables to select my dinner, whereas my co- guests all queued in line politely at other. The breakfast was also the same with plenty of good food to be greedy with. And yet, the price which I paid , albeit in advance for early season was no more than I needed pay for a 3* room B&B in the principal cities. Cost of drinks also served in hotel was no more than average.
I could find no fault with this hotel and regard it as first rate on basis of my stay there.

“ok for one night before heading into desert”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2011

Room was older but very large with a several couches, bed and 2 baths.
Lightening poor but A/C worked well if a little noisy, We ate there as part of our tour, Plated dinner ( 2 choices for each course). Breakfast on the sparse side. Lovely pool area but tour buses usually get back part of hotel not the rooms overlooking pool.
No hairdryer, no iron,
Don't waste time going to fossil store.in town
Free WIFI in lobby only

“Decent quality hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2010

Stayed at this hotel on a tour and was only there for a quick overnight and did not get to try out the pool. There was a better breakfast selection than in many hotels I stayed at. The hot water was intermittently working and the beds were firm.

“Beautiful Hotel, but...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2010

It is a beautiful hotel. Cleaner than many of the other hotels I experienced in Morocco. Gorgeous Swimming pool. The dinner was good, but not amazing. The big problem I had was with the bed, which others did not experience. My head was much lower than the rest of me, but I told them about it, and they were checking it out.
I was just here for a quick overnight, but I would recommend it. There is wifi only in the lobby.

“Good value for the money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2008

This hotel is located in the nice villag Erfoud. It is an excellent stay in order to explore the desert at Merzouga.

The hotel has very friendly staff and a very nice garden with a pool. The meals were of very good quality and large portions were available. The rooms were quite modest but spacious and very clean.

I can recommend the hotel as it provides good value for the money.
