Refresh the teas, coffee and sugar sachets in the rooms.
Consider including ironing boxes and blow driers in the room (this would come in handy especially after a swim).
Consider also placing some slippers or sandals in the rooms

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights as part of an 8 night trip to Kenya for our honeymoon, and we were blown away by the service, food and most of all the staff who looked after us. The time we spent here was part of a flying safari which we booked through Somak, and was our first trip to Africa.

On arrival at the Lodge we had a very clear and comprehensive preview of our itenery so we knew exactly what was planned for us, which we found very helpful. This reassured us that everything would run smoothly, a feeling that we didn't get at the other places we stayed at.

Our room was tidy, quiet and had a balcony with a good view across the valley, though we could not see Lake Naivasha. Also it was well furnished and had mosquito nets around the 4 poster bed. Tea/coffee making facilities were a bit poor, but this is only a very minor gripe.

Service in the resturant was excellent, and the food was very tasty. Each meal was a buffet style with plenty of choice. All waiters/waitressess, chefs were polite, talkative and very helpful. This extended to the rest of the staff who were always interested in what we'd done that day.

However the best thing about our stay here were the activities which were arranged for us. These included a nature walk around the premises of the lodge, and day trip to Lake Nukuru National Park, and a boat trip on Lake Naivasha. For each of these we were accompanied by Daniel, the resident naturalist at the Lodge, who along with Jack our driver made the stay such a memorable one. Those two are worth their weight in gold. Both were extremely enthusiastic about nature and wildlife and prepared spend as much time as we liked observing the animals that we were most intersted in. We learned so much from them.

In addition, each night star gazing was available at no additional cost (at other lodges and camps we stayed at it cost extra). Again this was run by Daniel and we got a fantastic view of the disk of Jupiter and four of its moons through the telescope, something I've always wanted to see.

Overall we thought this was a fantastic place to stay, the best of the places we stayed at during our honeymoon, and we hope to return again one day.

We had our regional meeting at the Great Rift Valley lodge for 4 days. We checked in early morning and were greated by warm staff. The checking in process was smooth (thanks Rose for a great job), The conferencing facilities are great and the business centre as well. Our meeting was held in Tucana Conference room ( the view of the valley was just awesome). On our last day we had a farewell cocktail , i must commend the Chef, the menu was great and all the details taken care of.

I will definitely keep coming back!

We stayed here for 2 nights, We had a pleasant stay. No much crowd was there just few locals who come to stay during weekends. The food was average. One staff by name Jerome at reception was great at his job and a friendly person. Its ideal for newly wedded couples and those who play Golf.

Stayed at the Great Rift Valley Golf Resort as mid way part of our safari, and could have done with missing it out. Foun it quite impersonal and busy compared to the camp we had come from in Samburu. It was busy, especially the dining room in the evening (which was very noisy)where the food was average. Although the breakfast had a good selection. The rooms were a bit tired ,especially the bathroom and showers could do with a face lift !One good point was the beds were comfortable. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. The pool area was smart and clean but overrun with noisy children when we were there.WARNING- The worst part of all is the 11k road leading to the resort from the main road. It is the most tortourous road I have travelled on. Full of large ruts and bumps and makes the journey horendous. At one point our jeep driver almost lost control due to the large holes in the road. Come on Rift Valley not exactly a selling point !

Stayed here for two nights and loved it. Beautiful place, very peaceful and we had lovely views. Had two rooms with interconnecting door for our son and daughter. Lovely four poster beds only criticism is that the beds were rock hard in both rooms so didn't get much sleep, I like firm mattresses but these were solid!! Other than that superb place. Lovely gardens, great swimming pool - kids had quick swim but so busy I didn't get chance to use it in our short stay. Food excellent and staff great. Dreadful road driving up to it, once you leave the main road then very bumpy for miles and miles but hey you are in Kenya and this place, for me anyway, was worth it. I would go back anytime. The guides are so knowledgable and keen to ensure you enjoy your stay. They cannot do enough for you here and always asking if everything is ok. Didn't do golf as not my thing but plenty people did and the golf course looked very good with my limited knowledge on the subject!

My husband and I needed to get away for the weekend and we settled on GRVL because it was near enough to Nairobi but far enough to put the hustle and bustle behind us.

We loved the views, the peace and quiet. The food was excellent and the staff very courteous. This was definaltely our first of several trips to GRVL.
