“Superb”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

Stayed here for 2 nights on 13/14 June as part of a flying safari, had a great time, William our guide was great, nothing was too much trouble for him, had an extensive knowledge of animals, birds & plants. All the staff were good, food was good, room was large & spacious & had great views, no complaints at all. Came back to the lodge in a horendous thunderstorm, when we got back our roof was leaking onto the bed. Told reception, no fuss just moved us to another room. Felt sorry for the golfers though, Zebra grazing on the fairway but this is Africa, animals have right of way. Our first morning there William met us at reception and said he had a surprise for us, breakfast on the third tee of the golf course with our own personal chef & waiters, amazing!!! Recommend this to everyone

Looks like you had a Ball. Apologies for the leaking Room. This rarely happens but I am glad there was a quick remedy.
So glad you shared with the World your experiences

It was wonderful
the vegetarian food was best I have ever had
and Williem who is a guide there was fantastic - he knew everything about the environment and was very very helpful - showing us as much as he could given the limited time we had available

Room Tip: ask for a view

Excited that you liked it. Thanks for mentioning William. This entitles him to be part of a draw of the staff who have done exemplary Jobs. Comes with a good Bonus.
All indications are that he will get it this time round.

2 Nights of a Work / Rest Related Retreat. The suite my husband and I shared was snug and warm and awesome. Keep up the good work. Special commendation goes to the reception staff especially Rose and the restaurant staff, especially Fred and the chef at the upper restaurant who faithfully provided the special diet that my husband needed. This was our second visit and we were particularly grateful for the time there. The birds variety is amazing and the recreation facilities well kept and top notch. I would this as a destination for rest and relaxation and even work related meetings as well. The long walks were a good replacement for the missing gym facility.

Room Tip: The rooms with on the upper floors have breathtaking great view . Unless you just want to sleep and...

My wife and I shared one of the Green Park cottages with 4 other couples on 18 May 2013 for the weekend getaway and it was an "out-of-this world" experience. Green Park is within the same compound as GRVL and you can access the restaurant, golf-course etc. This was a bonding visit for us and we really enjoyed ourselves. We ate great dinner at the hotel in the evening and also enjoyed a round of golf on the 18-hole course on Sunday morning, 19 May 2013.

The cottage was very spacious with 5 ensuite bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen and an extra-large lounge for us to catch up and share stories and enjoy our drinks deep into the night. The balcony on the cottage overlooked the 18th hole on the course and also the Lake Naivasha in the distance. What a breathtaking site to behold.

Having had the dinner at the hotel, we prepared breakfast in-house as we had brought in our own food for the morning and it had a "home-away-from-home" feeling to it.

The general conclusion is that if you have couple friends and just want a getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life then this is the place to be. The bush green environment has a calming effect on you and you will get back to your routine feeling very refreshed and re-energised.

The cost was also pocket-friendly considering that all the couples chipped into the bill for this wonderful experience.

We will be back to Green Park in the very near future!!!

Room Tip: Get a cottage that overlooks the 18th hole - there are several of them. The view of the course and t...

Hello Guest,
We are so glad you liked GRVL. This is really an Oasis in the Desert and we can not agree with you more on your compliments.
We are just an hour from Nairobi yet so undiscovered but to us that is a positive as whoever comes truly gives us an opportunity to pamper him/her.
The Doors for GRVL remain open for you always.

My wife and I spent two wonderful nights at the Great Rift Valley Lodge. During our days, we enjoyed guided tours of Lake Nakuru National Park and Lake Naivasha. We particularly enjoyed our evenings with Daniel, the Lodge's resident bird expert. The food was good and the accommodations were quite pleasant. Unfortunately, much of the road to the lodge is unpaved and made for difficult riding.

Room Tip: Most of the cabins appeared to be the same.

We stayed here one night during a 12-day Kenyan safari. It is absolutely beautiful! The room was superb and the view was breathtaking. Service was top notch! Dining service was a bit slow, but this is Kenya. Hakuna matata!

Hi stayed here in 2011 I know can't justify giving my review after all this time but can't wait to go back to Kenya and do the same safari as after we finished Mara and heading towards my birth place in kisumu we stayed here for 2 nights and it was the best relaxation after a gruelling safari and there was a government conference on just the night before we got there and I remember the staff telling me that all the ministers and the ex president was around the night before our stay and did not think much about the place first as being on 7000 feet plus above sea level not only were we tired with the journey from mara but out of breath believe me we drove there not walked but after we settled in and walked the golf course grounds and the views breath taking from our twin family rooms can't wait to go back again plus the bar and restaurant on the top level a different experience plus they had a dinner and Chinese and nyama Choma meaning a barbecue in the lower end of the hotel only about 2 story's down about 50 steps but due to the latitude height it felt a good workout to climb up again to go to the bar or reflection it to your rooms and a good nights sleep is guaranteed
Loved it and highly recommended
