“Lovely place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013 via mobile

We spent one night and I can say that was too short to enjoy the beauty of this place. Right from the reception you are welcomed with warm smiles, check in is very efficient and professional not forgetting the rides from the reception to the rooms and a tour of the property by the concierge team. Only down side is the pool location and the food in the restaurant most of the meals were cold but all in all be sure that you will have an amazing trip.
They have room service but at a $$ views from the upper rooms is amazing and with a outside shower that will give you an opportunity to watch the stars. I recommend Roseanne at their reservation office she takes all the details as per your request everything goes as per the requests given.
Thank you all for making our stay memorable will surely be back soon.

My wife and I spent a night last weekend to commemorate our wedding anniversary and we must say the overall experience was great.

The resort went to the trouble of giving us an "anniversary feel" to our room with some great wine, fruit basket among other lovely touches. The room was really good with the outside shower under the moon-light which we really enjoyed.

We also loved the walk to Lake Naivasha and also the general outlook and aesthetics of the Resort. We also observed that the resort was great for children with numerous amenities to cater for children such as indoor and outdoor play areas, children's pool, prams in the dining areas,in-house nannies among others.
The check-in and check-out process was also super quick.

There are however 2 areas where I believe the resort can improve:

(a) The service at the Senteu Restaurant was honestly not good and you get the feeling that the waiters are not trained on hospitality. For instance, we asked for some Tabasco and tomato sauce to go with our meal and the Tabasco came after 30 minutes whereas the tomato sauce never came. In another instance, after our lunch which we ate soon after arrival, we signed for our drinks to be charged to our room and a few minutes later, the waiter came back to our table and demanded for cash because our names had not been set-up in the hotel system. This was a big let-down for us considering that we had barely been at the resort for 30 minutes. We believe these instances can easily be dealt with given proper training to the staff.

(b) The food also seemed a bit average in terms of taste and the breakfast was served on order instead of the conventional self service where the customer serves based on the food they need and the quantities they want. In the end, the breakfast ended up being a small portion - probably the smallest breakfast portion we have ever eaten anywhere. This was also quite dissappointing.

These 2 points was the low-points of an otherwise good anniversary commemoration.

However, we hope to visit the resort in the future.

Room Tip: We stayed on the Upper Floor Executive Rooms and would recommend the ones on the far side from the p...

Clean room, nice grounds, ok service but expensive for what it is. Their small section of lake is unusable. Tons to do in the area that is great for family activities like biking, climbing, fishing, etc.

The hotel location is perfect, about an hour from Nairobi, with great scenes of the escarpment, Rift Valley view point and Mt Longonot along the way. The hotel itself is tastefully done, has lovely grounds and spacious comfortable rooms. The food was great and fresh, the service was good and the service teams very responsive to any issue raised. I have now stayed there twice, once as a couple and 2nd time with the larger family- both times were excellent. Second time round I had a treatment at the spa...it is out of this world! Definitely without a doubt, the BEST in Kenya. I can't say enough good things about it. Don't think twice about it...book it and enjoy yourself. You can thank me later :)

Room Tip: Hotel upstairs rooms have lovely outdoor feel shower. Try and get one. Cottages are also great if...

The resort is fantastic, great location and view. Rooms are very good, the bed oh my!, the African inspired art is breathtaking. A great place for a time out , for couples, family, solo, teambuilding although the overall service standards needs some improvement in terms of speed.

All in all I will go back again anytime. Kudos

Since our last visit the hotel has worked on the meals and is now the ideal place to be. Compared to the rest up the road, this will be my destination until further notice!!
Our only problem was noise from the next room but the reception was able to handle that efficiently.

We stayed for just 1 night, at the beginning of a safari/beach holiday. This was a last-minute change of accommodation by our holiday company, so we didn't know what to expect. However, it was excellent. No wildlife close by - unlike the lodge we were originally supposed to be staying at, but still a lovely place to stay. We were in a 'cottage' that had 3 double ensuite rooms, and a communal sitting room - very comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Food wonderful. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Didn't have time to use the pool, but it was apparently very nice indeed.
