i am the chairman of a Cambridge based charity and my self and my teams have been staying at the imperial for 14 years we have seen many changes of improvement over this time.
remember this is not a beach resort so its not like a holiday hotel its clean and the rooms are now being modernised to a modern standard although the rooms at the moment are still clean and spacious all with a safe and TV , the rooms have maid service every day and bed turn down every night all rooms have mosquito nets but you don't really need them as there are not that many mosquito's the food is always good and the staff are very friendly, as all African hotels some times you may have to wait a little longer for some meals but all worth waiting for, the pool area is nice to sit and relax after a days work unfortunately there was a issue where the building collapsed next door but this did not affect the running of the hotel we where all cared for and treated very well by all the staff and owners, during this time , if your looking for a 5 star holiday hotel on the beech this is not it, but this is the best town hotel we know for service food and friendliness its only a short drive from the airport and very central recommended by Focus on Africa charity
