Some college friends and I stayed here for a football game weekend based on previous reviews. What a nightmare. We knew it was a bad sign when we checked in but had to wait to go to the room. We were told it was still being cleaned because it was a disaster. No problem we thought, we'll take our bags up after the game. We obviously wanted the room to be cleaned. When we finally got to the room around eleven PM the room next door was complaining because their toilet overflowed and the front desk told them to come down and get a plunger. Apparently the the room below them was having the same problem because as soon as they got back to their room the desk started calling them asking for the plunger back. When the people in the room couldn't fix the problem they asked for the maintenance man who refused to come up. The desk said to plunge harder. Our room smelled like it had housed a smoking party the night before. One of my friends is allergic to smoke so we asked for a different room. We were told the hotel was sold out. We could come down and get febreeze if we wanted it or we could find another hotel. We called the Fairfield Inn next door and it was booked. Since by then it was close to midnight we had no choice but to stay. The next morning while one of us was showering the toilet began overflowing and soaked the carpet in the room. When we called the front desk a room had magically oped opened up on our floor and become available. When questioned about this an extremely rude manager insisted he had had to hold it until 6 am for people who did nt show up. When we pointed out reservations didnt come with room numbers he then changed his story to we had been in our room a while before we complained. How less than 3 minutes constitutes a while none of us could figure out. After we showered in the new room we went to breakfast downstairs. Everything was pretty much gone and trash was overflowing onto the floor. The had two large barrel cans. No bothered to check on the situation. The lady who came over to start clearing way things stated they are instructed not to put anything else out after 8:30. This was a Sunday morning in a supposedly sold out hotel. When we checked out the front desk lady apologized about our stay before we said anything. At that point the nasty manager came out again and blamed my husband who checked us in and drove back home for the confusion. In the end We had a good time inspite of Comfort Suites reminiscing with old friends. But don't make the mistake of staying here or it will be your fault too.
