“Shakawe area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

Drotskies and Xaro awesome - Birdlife fantastic - incl. Pel's! Boat trips from Xaro's an absolute highlight. Bush walks also great there. Campsite at Drotskies the best I have stayed in in Southern Africa.

The animals, birds and fish in their natural habitats were inspiring and wonderful. Provides you with a new perspective on the world and all it has to offer.

“It depends on the season”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

While travelling in June this year, we, like another reviewer, also found the game to be a little scarce. After flying in and out of Maun, we spent a total of 7 nights in the delta. We stayed at Gunn's Camp; Nguma Island Lodge; Moremi Crossing and Pom Pom Island. They were all great but yes, the water is quite low this year after many years of flood causing the game numbers to be a little disappointing.
If you are faced with a choice, select SAA/Airlink for you flights, Air Bostwana were awful. After arriving two hours late and preventing us from commencing our travels due to darkness, they unreasonably refused to assist with an overnight stay over.

“Wildlife on show”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

Having travelled from the Chobe River in Namibia direct to Gunns Camp in the Okavango Delta there was a noticeable reduction in the amount of wildlife that was visible to us, mainly because you're travelling on water and the animals can tend to move away from the busier boat areas on the river. In saying that, we were still able to see many different types of animals and birds that we hadn't seen at Chobe, so this trip was worthwhile
