The Ika Lahi Lodge in Vava'u is a true jewel. Located on a little island called Hunga it's the perfect place to find peace and tranquility. The beach with its magnificent white sand is just at the
doorstep of the clean and comfortable bungalows. You are invited to swim, snorkel and kayak and discover the breathtaking beauty of the underwater world with its stunning fish and corals. You can also enjoy the view of one of the gorgeous sunsets. A place to completely forget time. The delicious food is always fresh and tastes just fantastic. It is a truly magical place and the hosts are wonderful. I really enjoyed my stay and would love to go back there another time.

Ika lahi is a destination not to be missed. A private game Fishing Lodge in the northern Island group of Tonga We contacted the owners Caroline and Steve direct via their web page after stumbling across it whilst searching for a unique location to visit in Tonga.

The location on a secluded lagoon is sensational, the trip on the boat from Neiafu was just the start of the experience. Eating the fish you caught, well that's priceless.
I'll let our photos speak for themselves.
We are mobile 'baby boomers' who don't mind going out of the way for the real thing, this is it!
We have already booked again for September this year, so we can experience the whales in Vava'u .

Really enjoyed my stay at Ika Lahi! The accommodation was very comfortable and clean with staggering views. The food - simply divine what Caroline can do! Very professional service, sound advice on where to go or what to do and extremely helpful with special requirements. Exactly how the South Pacific should be experienced!

While our stay at Ika Lahi Lodge was some years back it's still very much in our minds as the best holiday destination ever - absolute bliss!! Desperate to have a break from the 'rat-race' we entered another world - Ika Lahi was the perfect spot for us to rest and relax in the most beautiful setting with fabulous hosts.

The accommodation was great - very clean and inviting and only a few steps away from the beach - most conducive to relaxation! The dining experience was very special - the setting ideal with beautiful decor and views, the food delicious and the fish (freshly caught & deserving of a special mention) divine.

We certainly enjoyed all the delights of island life including swimming, snorkeling, and harvesting coconuts and when we were ready to venture beyond the paradise of Ika Lahi our knowledgeable and convivial hosts, Steve & Caroline, introduced us to still more beautiful sights in their special part of the world along with the thrill of big game fishing. They were very attentive to our needs and made sure that we had the best holiday ever. We thoroughly recommend the Ika Lahi Lodge experience!

Ika Lahi is the best place I've ever stayed. The beautiful accommodation is set in a tropical garden. The very clean rooms are perfect and the seaview right out to the Hunga Lagoon is marvellous.

But by far the best is the food. An amazing variety for such an isolated place. Always the freshest fish (you eat what you catch).
The chowder is a must.

The staff were always very friendly and helpful what ever came up. If you're a fishing enthusiast this is the place. If you go out with them you're in the hands of the best crew in the oceans with almost a guarantee of catching marlin.

The Lodge is just a piece of paradise with a dream beach al to yourself, snorkelling possibilities or forest walks.

They have a perfect place to enjoy a sundowner as well. On a hilltop we've seen many green flashes (the last light of the sun before it disappears behind the ocean) with whales swimming around.

Ika Lahi is just perfect
