“Indeed, the very best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013 via mobile

These were indeed the best empanadas we've ever had! The restaurant opens at 8pm and we were the first customers of the evening. Though a little slow, the service was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the promo of 12 empanadas with Torrontes wine for AR$75, which was great value! We tried all the varieties and loved what they did with the fillings. Very creative upgrades of the traditional filling and the dough was perfect!
Would recommend this to anyone!

“Delicious Empanadas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

Cute little place that serves delicious, reasonably priced, freshly made Empanadas and although the fillings are the same as you see across South America, they are definitely a bit more 'gourmet'.

The only downside is the service which is incredibly slow but it's undoubtedly worth the wait.

Recommended.

“Delightful lunch in Cafayate”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

We had our lunch in Cafayate, after a wonderful visit of the Valles de las conchas and we were looking for a place for a light but tasty meal when we discovered this magic small restaurant focused on serving the best empanadas in Salta region.
We enjoyed the wide variety, the overall quality and the nice atmosphere. Last but not least the price was cheap.
Moreover, in this place, you have the opportunity to write your own opinion about your experience on the wall of the restaurant itself!
Highly recommended.

“The worst Empanadas ever!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

Was it bad luck, the evening (elections) or was it us? We had the worst Empanadas in our live. We don't understand, why this place have so many good reviews. Our Empanadas were filled with gross cheese, which was bitter and ruins all. But as well the Empanadas were bad baked and still very pasty. There are a lot reviews about the waitress, we don't need to repeat them.

“Super empanadas and locro”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

We went here to try their empanadas and also wanted some locro. So we ordered #1 - 8 from the empanada list. First the crust is really well done. Thick and flaky and they seem to shape each of the different empanada varieties a little differently. The inside ingredients include some very creative combinations. The flavors are really good and leave you anticipating the next one. I particularly liked the Calchaqui: goat cheese, corn, onion, bell pepper and basil. Really good. The locro was OK, too, but we should have had all empanadas.
