“A Little Slice Of Roadside Americana”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2014

This little gem of a burger shack sits front and center along one of middle America's most beautiful scenic highways-Scenic 7 National Byway in the heart of "The Natural State"...Arkansas. And uniquely so...it's the sole eatery in the tiny hamlet called Jessieville. Don't blink-you'll miss it. But then you really can't miss it. It's directly across the highway from the Jessieville High School. Whether you're near Hot Springs Village or just navigating a scenic tour down 7, The Shack is a don't miss. Ok... The burgers, fries and shakes are always great but don't let the opportunity to enjoy one of the best tasting/great values in a fried catfish dinner anywhere pass you by. And their delicious salad topped with fried chicken or the chef salad are both a delight. And you just can't beat the down-home, friendly staff and the great hospitality of their service. The local high school gals they've employed over the years have always been polite, helpful and sweet. LONG LIVE THE SHACK! A scenic 7 landmark and legend that will never go out of style...and perish the thought...outa business.

“Another convenient location to The Village.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

We hit this little local spot off and on. They have great burgers, BBQ, spaghetti and catfish baskets. The service is great, the staff is friendly and efficient and prices are good. It's a favorite spot with the locals.

“Great burger”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2013

I have had a hamburger craving for 2 weeks and we finally made it to The Shack. I had a great burger with grilled onions. My order of fried okra was crunchy outside and flavorful okra inside. Hubby had a pulled pork sandwich and chocolate malt that he declared " not bad". I took a piece of pecan pie home and it was delicious. Glad the Shack is close by

“The best of its kind in the Hot Springs Village area.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

Early Villagers, who were mostly retired, fell in love with The Shack and often referred to it as the "Jessieville Hilton, in loving fun. It is a home town place where you get the kind of food that reminds you of what you got when you were growing up. Most anything you order is good but not Mexican or Italian or whatever imported taste. Usually a wait on the weekends. We usually order burgers or the fried shrimp plate but they have a wide variety of dishes based on local favorites and service is usually pretty good.

“Best deal in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

Tasted like home cooking... great value... small and charming... a nice escape from noisy big chain restaurants. Very popular place on Friday nights too. Service was very good, staff is courteous and friendly. It's a repeater for us.
