“Make it a point to stop if you're in the area....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

We stopped and climbed the observation tower and so enjoyed the view. It is absolutely breathtaking. We found out later that you can actually drive down through the "Grand Canyon" and that the scenery down there is pretty amazing as well. If you're planning a trip, try to work it around the Buffalo River Elk Festival held around the last weekend of June.

“Looks a lot like Kentucky”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

Visited the Jasper, Arkansas area for a family reunion. Took several hikes and did a lot of driving around. Enjoyed the scenic overlooks that showcase the huge canyon. However, the trails and rock formations reminded me a lot of what we have here in Kentucky. There was a surprising amount of abandoned buildings left to return to nature, which gave the whole experience a rather creepy ghost town feeling. It's pretty, but I'd rather stay closer to home and see something similar (minus the large canyon, the Ozarks look a lot like the Appalachians).

“Beautiful scenic drive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

We went to the Grand Canyon last year and not sure why people call it this but it is spectacular site to see of the beautiful forest and mountains. Take highway 7 from Russellville (off of I-40) all the way to the Ozarks. The drive is slow and curvy but worth it to take in the views. Several scenic overlook stops along the way to Harrison.

“Beautiful Scenery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

Our favorite place to vacation is the Ozarks in northern Arkansas and Hwy 7 Scenic Byway is our favorite road to travel. The scenery is so very beautiful. Jasper is such a lovely little town, snuggled up in the middle of the mountains. We always stop at Scenic Point which is about 4 miles south of Jasper on Hwy 7. Nice little gift shop with a magnificent view of the valley, and the best jellies and preserves you can buy! The drive has lots of ups and downs and twists and turns, but it's definitely worth the sights you see.

“Don't Miss a Ride on Route 7”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

Highway 7 is a beautiful route to cruise from the top of the State all the way into Hot Springs City. Nice Road, great curves, and scenery that won't disappoint. If you are on a motorcycle, don't forget to stop at some of the scenic pull overs. Nice twists that you can run almost always at the speed limit.
