Did an RCI exchange into (2) 2bdr units for a family vacation with our 4 boys, (2 set of twins), 2 daughter-in-laws and 2 grandkids.
Unit 86-A&B was a lockout unit in Phase 2. The A side had a full kitchen, small dinning area, full size sleeper sofa, large bathroom with jetted tub and walk-in shower, king-size bed in bedroom and 5 X 12 patio. The B side had a smaller kitchen with cook-top (no oven) and small dinning area, small sleeper sofa, small bathroom and queen size bed. The two units combine sleeps 8, but the one sofa sleeper we used would not be comfortable for adults
Unit 11 was a full 2 bedroom unit in Phase 1. It was a very large condo, recently remolded kitchen, large countertop with stools, large dinning area, wet bar, large living area, smaller bed room had twin bed with small bathroom, large master bedroom with king size bed and a huge bathroom, (jetted tub for 4, walk-in shower and a large back patio.
Both units were very nice, clean and big enough for the 8 adults / 2 kids. Both have a washer/dryer and the resort provide ample detergent for both the clothes and dish washes.
The resort staff were friendly, quick and easy check in / out. We had a problem with Unit 86 A/C the first night, called maintenance number and left message at 6:00 AM. Someone came around 30 minutes later, called A/C repair man and by 9:00 AM A/C working again.
The resort is located in Hot Springs Village. The Village, as called it, is a very large gated community with several golf courses and lakes. As a guest at Las Lagos, you have access to the facilities at the courses, tennis and swimming pools. Just outside The Village is a small shopping center with a locale grocery store, a few restaurants and in the back is a coffee and gift shop that I would recommend you visit. Also, there is a Wal-mart about 3 miles from The Village.
The resort it self has 2 swimming pools; a family pool and adult pool, (14 and over). Both are rather small but well keep. The grounds are well kept and there are lots of walking/hiking/biking trials, in fact several miles of trails through out The Village. They were doing lots of work to several building, but the work never bothered us did not start too early and were finished before we returned in afternoon.
Hot Springs Village is about 15 minutes north of downtown Hot Springs. That was ok for us; we really do not like staying to close to town.
I would certainly return and would recommend Los Lagos
