“Great little place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2013

I work on the road in this part of the state often. This is a clean little place and the prices are very reasonable. As evidenced by the other reviews, the owners are just the sweetest little people. It is not the Ritz Carlton, but nothing in this part of the state is. Clean, affordable, quaint. Stay here.

After experiencing horrible service at another local hotel, we moved to the Ouachita. The owners have bent over backwards to make sure our stay is pleasant. They insisted that we check the room out for cleanliness before we ever booked the first night. The rooms are outstanding in the cleanliness department. The beds are comfortable and the air works great. There is a refrigerator and microwave in each room. We needed a hair dryer and one was brought to our room immediately. We will definitely stay here again.

We traveled through here on our way to the diamond mines. It's a small privately owned hotel. The owner was the sweetest man. The rooms were clean, the sheets were clean. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this hotel. If you need somewhere for you and your family to sleep that is affordable, in a good neighborhood, and clean, this is your best bet.

We booked this room on Priceline several hours before we checked in. When we arrived, it was late and very cold outside. Instead of just giving us our room key and checking us in, the front desk worker basically took us on a tour of the rooms (which are outside). He also spoke very broken English and kept interrupting as we were trying to tell him we just wanted a king room non smoking. The room was ok. Not completely clean, but not filthy. The bed linens were very thin. It is a place to crash, but that's it. We also had a question about the charges and the front desk worker couldn't understand what we were asking. He completely misunderstood what our concerns were and proceeded to argue. Had we not already paid for it, we would've gone somewhere else, but we stayed. "Continental" breakfast was merely a couple of items setting out on a table. We will not be staying there again.

This was an accidental find as I was thinking that I would have to continue all the way to Hot Springs to find a motel. At the time of writing, there are two other reviews and both rate the motel as Terrible. Both reviews mention that a pool was advertised but wasn't open and I've no doubt that's true. But I was there to sleep and found the room clean, comfortable, reasonably priced and nicely furnished with everything working. The website no longer mentions a pool.

Pool advertised but no pool. Breakfast advertised, what a joke. No coffee in room. Coffee at "breakfast" was cold sitting in a brew pot. Motel would not honor 24 hour cancelation policy on third night, whcih we did not use.

web site said they had a pool, but when we got there it was covered up! There was very few places to plug up anything in the room. Was okay just for the night. I would not want to stay any longer than that. Also, the staff had the hardest time understanding ANYTHING I was saying!
