We recently spent a couple of nights at Camp Moremi and enjoyed our time there very much. The location is very beautiful, right on the Delta, with great views from the bar and lookout areas. The dining and bar areas are attractive, the food very good without being outstanding. Our tent was comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed the large comfy bed, outdoor seating area for a quiet read midday, and the well equipped bathroom. The lock on our outside door did not work at first, but someone arrived quickly and put it to rights. This was necessary to keep the baboons out apparently. We found the camp service to be attentive and friendly.
The game drives were nice, but we definitely saw less game than at other parks we had been to. We also seemed to spend a lot of time tracking the same lions and saw them on every game drive we went on. Our group was also interested in other species, including birds, but we seemed to spend a huge amount of time after these lions and also tracking a leopard that had been spotted several days ago. I think perhaps guides should ask what the guests want to see instead of assuming we are all on a Big 5 hunt, ticking off boxes as we go. We preferred a more organic approach to the day, seeing what unfolded and learning about what we did see, not chasing after what we didn't see.
