“A sight of beautiful Caracas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2013

Going to Warairarepano, formerly known as Teleferico, is an amazing experience even for those who have a fear of heights. The 20 min ride up is amazing, I recomend doing that with daylight and ride back down at night so you can appreciate the lights of the city. At the top you'll find various restaurants and kiosks with food and souvenirs, and a walkway leading to the grand hotel Humbolt which is closed for renovations, unfortunately . There is also an ice skating rink, but sometimes it is closed, a matter of luck I guess. It makes cold at night so bring a jacket if you plan on haging out there for a while. On the whole, it's a nice place to spend a little time with family.

“Worth the trip.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

There aren't too many interesting things to do in Caracas, especially for tourists that don't know their way around and could get into trouble. The teleferico is worth the visit as the views are pretty spectacular. There are a few restaurants up there...nothing to write hoe about, but it is good for an afternoon. Bring a sweater, it gets cool up there 3000 meters above sea level. Don't carry too much cash and no jewelry at all. All of Caracas is dangerous and people have been held up.

“TELEFERICO”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

Wonderful place to admire the view of Caracas.
At the top of the mountain there is a small ice skating rink, there are also kiosks selling typical foods and handicrafts of Venezuela.
Excellent choice of fun!

“Sightseeing place above Caracas”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

Traffic in Caracas is terrible, but once in the cable car you immediate leave the traffic noise behind and start to climb above the forest on the mountains surrounding the city.
On the top they still have a lot to do, it seems everything needs a lot of work, especially the Humboldt Hotel (reopening long overdue).
There isn't a place were you get a great view of the city, it's a shame.

“Long queues”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

Had a plan to visit the Avila mountain, my family and I. The queues were so long that the waiting would have been about 3/4 hours. A total disorganization. Not worth the waiting, we left after an hour of queuing.
