“Awesome! Amazing hospitality and delicious food, the place to go.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013 via mobile

Definitely the restaurant you should visit while staying on easter island. The owners are awesome and so attentive, you feel so welcome and very relaxed. We went there before flying back to Santiago, the owner even brought us to the airport after enjoying and truly delicious meal. We had ceviche, grilled local fish with sauted vegetables and camote. All really well prepared, you can taste that they truly enjoy preparing the dishes. They also served the best pisco sour on the Island, tried various places and by far this was the best pisco sour.
I loved the location as well, very nice garden with nice ocean view and very close to hotel Taha Tai.
they also serve freshly prepared pizza, though I did not taste them they looked delicious. Next time we go back to the islad we will go there again (and more than once).
So go off main street and walk to this restaurant, you will be amazed by the hospitality and delicous parrilla campesina.

“Great restaurant, a hidden gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

We stumbled upon Mamma Nui in a short cut to our hotel as it was on a dirt road off the main road. We were very glad we made the effort to go back. A lovely atmosphere, great service and some of the best pizzas we've ever had. And very yummy dessert.

“An amazing restaurant thats more than a restaurant!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2012

This restaurant was amazing! I went here a couple of times solo and both times I had really great food. But this restaurant is more than food...the owners are super nice and I chatted to them for a few minutes as they can speak somewhat ok English. They greeted me right away and in a nice manner. They made me feel comfortable as it’s usually not a comfortable experience when dining alone. They gave me a couple of magazines too to look at about Easter Island's history while waiting for my food. The second time I went there they didn’t have an certain ingredient to make my dish that I ordered so the owners wife went out to the store right then and there and got it...so you know the food is extremely fresh! After I got done eating the owner gave me a shell necklace which I thought was pretty cool. Very nice people. The restaurant is within walking distance of the Tupa Hotel. Also try the beer while your here...Easter Island has its own brewery and they make their own beer...it’s the best beer I've ever had...the pale ale. I highly recommend this restaurant!
