“Still Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

Although not as popular as it once was it's still fun to be here. Beautiful beach, lots of cool cars, great for families or couples..and of course youth. A place that all can enjoy the beauty of Georgian Bay

“wassaga beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

Wassaga beach is a great place to go on the long weekend. When the sun is warm and and the weather co-operates it makes for a perfect day. There is shopping and eating on the main beach. If that is not your style and want a quite day there are other beach areas with nothing at all on them but beautiful white sand. Wassaga beach is the longest fresh water beach in the world. The water is shallow, so is perfect for kids as well. The main beach is all about show and attitude. Nice cars, music cranked and of course hot bodies. Unless you are staying at a cottage, then you will have to pay for parking as this is a provincial park.

“Love being able to picnic and barbq on the beach.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

Personal faves are beach 3 and 4 for quiet family day at the beach. Beach 1 too busy and tacky. Take your cooler, chairs, barbeque and sun umbrellas and have a cook out right on the beach. Beautiful white sand and clean water. Very shallow for a long way out, and warm. Great for kids.

“Beautiful white sand, warm clear water”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

We have been going to Sauble Beach for years, but the long 4.5hr drive makes it impossible as a day trip. I had never realized that Wasaga was much closer to us--only 2hrs 15min, and so far this year we have gone 3 times. Beach area 1 is very touristy and lots of people. Great for teens and people who want to check out the touristy beachfront stores. Beaches down further are way nicer to go and have a picnic and a peaceful family day on the beach. Beach 3 and 4 both have lots of picnic tables, clean washrooms and were not crowded even on the hot labour day weekend. Not much else to do in Wasaga, but for swimming and spending time on the beach it is wonderful. The Candy Store on the main strip, and Grandma's Sweet Treats up by beach 3 are great to satisfy that sweet tooth. We would never go to Beach 1 to sim...too crowded, but the provincial park parking allows to to park at municipal lots on any of the 6 beaches.

“nice trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012

my family enjoyed the trip very much. beach was clean and beach 5 is perfect for the family. water is clear. signs on the road need to be more clear and more signs are needed. With the number of people visiting lifeguards should be there. the parking is $20 which should justify the lifeguard being there.
