“Amazing house! Great hosts!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013 via mobile

This house was absolutely amazing! We were in awe as we toured through it. Sarah and Sean were great hosts and provided an excellent breakfast! We definitely did not leave hungry. We stayed in a room with 2 double beds and an ensuite. The room was large and we did not feel crowded. I definitely recommend this place!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Clockmakers Inn. We stayed in the Sam Slick room which doesn't have an ensuite but I have to say, we didn't mind it one bit. Walking down the hallway to the bathroom, I pretended this was my estate and I was just starting another day during the "good old times" :) Breakfast was great, and concurring with previous reviews, Sarah's dad was indeed entertaining at breakfast times as well as during supper at the Spitfire Arms. I think the bed/mattress was probably the best during our whole 3 week trip through the Maritimes.
There was plenty of space in our room, and we admired all the details such as the servants' bell and the ornate radiators. The Inn even provides a laptop for guest use downstairs. We stayed for two nights and really appreciated having a full day to explore the tidal movements of the Bay of Fundy.

Room Tip: We stayed at the Sam Slick and loved it.

This was a fantastic place to start your holiday in Nova Scotia. We landed at Halifax from the uk, picked up our hire car and had checked in at the Clockmakers about 1 hour later. We stayed in the Victoria room which was fabulous - everything you would want to relax after a long haul flight. Sean gave us great tips on how to spend our first night and the following day's journey in Nova Scotia.

Sean and Sarah are wonderful hosts and are so accommodating. On our very last day in Windsor we had to leave before the first breakfast at 7:30 and Sean gladly offered to have our breakfast ready by 7:15. The bed was comfortable and our room was always very clean. They had air conditioning during our stay which was definitely needed. The breakfast was great and the variety of choices that were offered kept you from eating the same thing everyday. The house is so beautiful and they've done a wonderful job restoring it. Highly recommend staying here!

We had a wonderful stay at this Inn. After flying from England it was just far enough to drive from the airport.
The place has so many things of interest. We did not meet Sara and her dad until breakfast time. Her dad kept us all amused with stories and tails of the house. The housekeeper does a wonderful job the breakfast were fantastic and the rooms were spotless.
My only disappointment was that after traveling for more than 9 hours we were not offered a cup of tea or coffee on arrival.

Shawn and Sara were the best hosts. Shawn even prepared a full breakfast for us the morning we had to leave early. Room was very comfortable. Wifi worked well. They offer free international phone calls.

The Clockmakers Inn (located in the lovely Windsor Valley in Nova Scotia) is a wonderful place to stay while you explore the area ... especially all the nice wineries in the area. The owners (Sarah and Sean) are very nice people will help you enjoy your stay in the area. This old Victorian style inn is just beautiful and we loved the original nature of our room ... but enjoyed the modern amenities (like the hot tub) very much!

Check this place out if you’re planning a trip to this part of Nova Scotia!
