“Great character and gracious hosts.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

The decor is beautiful and the host, Kely, was helpful and responsive to all our needs. It had a great location, we were able to walk to a lovely Pub for supper and enjoy live music. My only regret was not being able to stay longer. I will definitely stay there again!

Hopefully you can stay more than one night next time and we can continue our conversation about art in the Maritime s. It was wonderful meeting you and I hope to see you again soon. Thank you for the review

we so much enjoyed our stay thanks to the terrific service provided be Kelly a great dinning area with a even better décor topped off with a very comfy bed and a nice personal touch ( sherry in the evening) And by the way a even better dinner recommendation that knocked our socks off. One of the best highlights of our trip thanks to Kelly.
When we travel back we will definitely stay ay Phoenix hollow again for sure.

Thank you for the great review - as you know we always like to get guests suggestions on their departure to see if there was anything we could improve on and you will be happy to know that I now have wonderful towel hair wraps in the bathrooms along with the extra towels. It was a great suggestion and has added to the pampering of my guests which I love to do.

I hope to see you again soon

We spent one night in the beginning of June 2013 while we were on vacation. We were coming from Cape Breton headed for the Annapolis Valley. The stay at the Phoenix Hollow was one of the highlights of the entire trip and one we will long remember. The home is in a wonderful neighborhood and a short walk from shops and a great pub. It has a delightful Victorian charm but has been renovated in a way that provides every feature you would want (Wifi, movies, sat TV, etc.) and looks brand new but still retains the look and feel of a classic home of the period. Kelly was the perfect host, warm, helpful, and fun. She did everything possible to make us feel at home and before we left gave us some outstanding recommendations for things to see and visit during the rest of our stay. The breakfast was incredible. One of the best meals that we enjoyed during the entire trip. We left wishing we could have stayed longer. If we are ever back in the area again we will definitely be staying at the Phoenix Hollow. It really is the best B&B experience we have had.

From the friendly welcome to the on-going help with 'local questions' , Kelly & John made my three day visit a relaxing and enjoyable time. The house and room were gorgeous , full of interesting 'bits & bobs' , all of which contributed to a warm atmosphere . I will be back to Windsor next year and will certainly plan ahead to return to Phoenix Hollow.

P.S. Don't leave without trying Kellys' french toast for breakfast !!

We stayed four nights at the end of May 2013. We had bad weather flying in to Halifax and had to adjust our schedule. Kelly and John were terrific in working with us during this dilemma. They were so understanding, and Kelly warmly met us late at night when we finally arrived. Kelly's enthusiasm is just contagious. After a fancy and leisurely breakfast each morning, Kelly helped us plan our day with suggestions of where to go, what to see, and where to eat. We really enjoyed our time there. In the evenings we just relaxed in the library with cookies and sherry, which was a nice treat on which to end the day. You won't be disappointed staying at Phoenix Hollow.

It is easy to be a good host to such great guests. Thank you for the kind review and I hope that you and your family enjoyed all of your vacation despite all the flight cancellations prior to you finally arriving! Have a great summer

I had an awesome night at the Phoenix Hollow B & B. There home is so charming with all the antique items in it. I had a great night sleep as the bed was super comfy. The breakfast was fabulous. I had Vanilla infused French toast that was scrumptious & Kelly's mom's home made jam was yummy. I will be back as I travel for business.

We recently spent one night at the Phoenix Hollow and were more than pleasantly surprised. We met Jon only briefly, but Kelly was very welcoming when we showed up at her door unannounced, and was a most gracious and friendly hostess throughout our stay. We were the only guests the night we stayed so had our choice of rooms. We chose the Phoenix room because of its grandeur and sense of drama. Made us feel very special. The bed was very comfortable, bathroom luxurious, and any need that a person could think of was provided for in our room. Sherry and chocolate cookies left out in the sitting room after dinner were really appreciated, and the breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious. Too many other special touches to mention. The home is an absolutely beautiful grand old house, very comfortable, but so wonderfully decorated. If we ever get back to Windsor, we will definitely stay there again.
