Haft Khan is a multi-story building with seven different restaurants. I had dinner in the traditional restaurant on the bottom floor. Judging from the design (and prices!) this is a fancy place, but the food was a huge letdown.
I ordered Fesenjon, one of my favorite dishes, which I had eaten at an Iranian friend's house made by her mother (perhaps an unfair comparison) a couple of days earlier. The one I got in this restaurant was terrible. I had a burnt taste, like it had been sitting in the pot for too long and had been reheated multiple times. It tasted so awful I couldn't finish my meal.
I may have been unlucky, but I didn't feel like wasting more money to try something else on the menu, especially since this is one of the most expensive restaurants in Shiraz.
