“Not bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2014

Stuff was so friendly, location of the hotel was great and it takes 10 min walking to the shrine and there is a small bazar at near the hotel its cheper than other markets. The rooms are clean but old need some maintainance. Generaly its normal hotel without any luxury options.

Stayed March 2014, traveled as a couple

The only good thing about this hotel was location.
The reception acted like they didn't want anything to do with guests.
Beds were terable mattresses desparetly need changing.
No room service!
Wi Fi only works in certain rooms, you will have to sit near the lifts to get a signal.
Not that clean, house keeping may decide to skip cleaning your room.
Breakfast was terable
Don't use their dry cleaning service it will damage your clothes

Hotel's staff and rooms

1- Friendly staff
2- Excellent room for a single person
3- Nice size fridge and a nice fruit basket as a means of welcome
4- Cloth hangers inside shower space but not behind bathroom door
5- No soap and shampoo holders in the shower space
6- Wall clock would be much efficient if the numbers and the ,,,glowed in the dark
7- A/C split unit not efficient
8- Room generally clean

Location
1- A Step away from many local attractions such as a small mall and a bazaar for locally made sweets and confectionary and bookstore and condiments

2- You get a very good idea of the day to day street strollers, people walking around and lots of different vehicles struggling to find there way.

4- Friendly people in the streets
5- Safe to shop around day and night

6- The hotel is right opposite to the public garden which hosts two small but important museums. The first about the history of the Sultan Nader Shah who ruled the Afsharide dynasty. The second was a wax museum of the world celebrities with an annexed show of the strange looking work people born in the past.

Food in the Hotel
1- Very good breakfast buffet and polite staff constantly cleaning
2- Dirty breakfast tables
3- Cold food which was supposed to be hot
4- On hot plates the containers were very cold
5- Food in the hotel's restaurant was not up to the standard and expensive
6- I recommend that you eat outside from the plentiful food places.

Planning to go out?
1- When you plan a tour or trip first consult with hotels concierge about the prices and costs . Then when you are in a taxi get the best bargain for the trip
2- Generally prices are affordable and reasonable of you come from the US or the European countries
3- You have to bid with the taxi driver and the price in half or less if you can before you hop in the taxi
4- It's very useful to do that to avoid being misunderstood and fooled.

Weather
1- The time of the visit was during the first week of October and it felt somewhat to the skin and it get warmer when you are exposed to the sun
2- Walking during the night is pleasant and enjoyable if you don't mind the pollution from street vehicles
3- Early morning walking sport people should wear a little bit warmer clothing before doing their chores

Room Tip: When you are in the hotel and before planning for a trip, ask as many people as you can. This saves...

4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2012

I stayed at Ghadir Hotel for 4 nights in May along with my two kids. The hotel is quite nice, with big rooms and adequate bathrooms. However, the walk to the Shrine of Imam Reza was way too long (atleast 15mins) and that was a little troublesome. There is a nice restaurant on teh ground floor of the hotel, which serves pizza and sandwiches (you dont get such things easily in iran). There are many things along the 15min walk to the shrine, you have the walk lined with small 'shawarma shops,' money exchanges, souveniers etc. All in all the hotel is quite nice for the amount they charge you. I got a nice package. The breakfast in inclusive, although there was a lot of variety, its difficult for people who are not used to the iranian style of breakfast. For those who are fond of trying new stuff, this is the place!
