Some friends and I have just visited the newly opened Glan Y Dwr B&B for a weekend escape. Its recently been taken over by new owners, Julian and Alison, who have created a luxurious feel and who certainly provided us with a very warm welcome. They have updated the B&B and have spared no expense in putting all of those finishing touches in place which make you feel like you are more in a hotel than a B&B! All furniture and fittings are of an extremely high standard (inlcuding a very comfortable bed!!) and we loved the minature treats in the bathroom.
The house itself is lovely - well decorated and lots of space for guests. The breakfast in the morning was to an extremely high quality - well cooked and everything you could ask for.
Another big advantage is there is lots of parking and only a few minutes stoll into the lovely town of Crickhowell. We had dinner in the Bear Hotel and couldnt fault it!
All in all, our group thought it was one of the nicest B&B's we'd stayed in. They are only just starting as a business but based on our experience it will no doubt do extremely well - our advice would be book while you can!!!
