“Very welcoming and cosy B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

We stayed at New Hall Guest House in March 2013 and enjoyed our stay very much. The room was very cosy and we felt really comfortable inside while the snow was coming down heavily outside. Breakfast was cooked to a very high standard exactly to our liking and we really enjoyed the fresh fruit and yoghurt and also the homemade bread. We would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone staying in Llanwrtyd Wells or the surrounding area and are thinking of re-visiting when the weather is nicer.

Thank you so much S W. So glad the snow didn't spoil your stay. Personally I love it when it snows here - so much nicer than in the city. Thank you also for being so complimentary about our breakfasts - we enjoy what we do and your appreciation makes it even more worthwhile. Hope to see you again. June and Eugene

A wonderful B&B in a cute little town close Brecon Beacon national park. Very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. June was very helpful and gave us great advice on where to go and eat as we were a little unsure at times. The breakfast was lovely and we would love to go back again in the future.

This was our third stay at New Hall and it did not disappoint. Unfortunately I had got my dates mixed up and June was away herself when we were expecting to go! However, June went out of her way to try and sort things out for us (which led us to stay at Lledgwial - subject of another report!).
New Hall is lovely and ideally situated - just at the edge of the little town of Llanwrtyd and yet just a few minutes walk from anywhere. The rooms are beautifully furnished and the whole atmosphere relaxed so that you can come and go as you please.
Nothing is too much trouble and June even provided us with black plastic bin bags so that our feet wouldn't get wet when we crossed a stream during our walk!

Room Tip: The twin/king size bedroom with the windows overlooking the road to Victoria Wells

We decided on a last-minute whim to go to Llanwrtyd Wells for New Year, as we had read about their midnight Celtic torch procession tradition. From the second we arrived at New Hall, we were made to feel like friends of the family rather than paying guests. What a wonderful, warm, welcoming family.
The New Hall itself is a quirky building with spacious, immaculately clean rooms and facilities. Our room was HUGE with a lovely en suite bath and shower room.
Breakfast was delicious, plentiful and fresh, and was served later than normal by mutual consent as we were all out for New Year's Eve!
It's in a great location - very central but quiet.
We had a fabulous New Year, and would recommend staying at New Hall to anyone who goes to Llanwrtyd. We will be staying again. Thank you June and family

Room Tip: We stayed in room 03. It was huge, with a lovely en suite

Hello - Thank you for your review and many apologies for taking so long to respond. Not good of me at all particularly when you have taken the time and trouble to be so nice about us and our crazy little town. We really enjoyed having you here for New Year especially as you were happy to have a late breakfast ;)

All 4 people in the party thought this was a wonderful B&B. The welcome was warm, the rooms were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean and the breakfasts were delicious. It is situated on the edge of the town which means there is practically no noise at night. The walk into town takes only 3 minutes, maybe 5 if you stroll slowly. Here you will find several places to eat. We are planning on returning next year.

Stayed two nights end of September with two friends from Canada, I had stayed before (x6) & everything was just as one would have hoped for in a warm, friendly, extremely comfortable stay.
Breakfast was a feast of almost anything you would like and cooked to order, so hot.

Room Tip: All rooms & I've used them all are equally as comfortable, warm & quiet.
