A great B&B with fantastic and friedly owners. A traditional house with 3 rooms (I think), in a quiet location, near the harbour. Our room, the Room of the Quay, was cozy and nice, clean, tipical, lot of extras. The bathroom was clean and cozy too. The full welsh breakfast is surely a plus, only overcome by the kindness of Andrew and Theresa.
It's something different, more personal than the hotels treatment. Just lovely.

The best of 20 plus B&Bs we stayed at in our October 2008 holiday. The room was lovely, nice view through the garden to the river, great bathroom, comfortable bed, complimentary DVDs, etc. Hosts Andrew & Theresa were very friendly and helpful (with local travel advice & maps) but we felt free to do our thing. Andrew cooked the best breakfast, opened by brilliantly presented fresh fruit (some grown in their garden). Only 50 metres to The Ship hotel for a friendly fireside chat and drink. A walk up the hill to Upper Fishguard leads you to restuarants & food. And the price was great too!

  • Liked — Friendliness, food and comfort
  • Disliked — A good walk up the hill to the restaurants

My Wife and I stopped at Morawel B&B for 3 nights, the service was fantastic, very professional and friendly at the same time. The room was spacious clean and tidy along with the en-suite with which towels were supplied. The breakfast was something else, cooked to perfection and the fruit platter what more could you ask for, I had one or the other couldn't manage both. Let's not forget Theresa and Andrew the hosts you couldn't wish for friendlier people no ask was too big and for that a big thank you to Theresa and Andrew may your B&B last (at least until our next visit)

Morawel is situated in a lovely little harbour, in Lower Town, Fishguard. It is in an ideal location (between Cardigan and St Davids) for exploring beautiful North Pembrokeshire.

The owners, Andrew and Theresa, are wonderful hosts.... laid back, friendly, and welcoming.
On arrival, I was keen to go for a walk , and they kindly offered to drive me to a beautiful bay a few miles away. From here, I stolled back along the coastal path (with its breathtaking views) right back to the B&B which is practically on the path. When I returned, Andrew and Theresa were sitting in their lovely garden, chatting to other guests. I was immediatley offered a cold beer, a sunny seat , and joined them for some funny, lively and interesting conversation. The atmosphere in Morawel is so relaxing.. it feels more like a home from home than a guesthouse.

The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. As well as the usual tea/coffee... there are also complimentary mints, After Eights and bottled water in the room. There is a fridge in the dining room for guests to use... a really great and useful touch.
The breakfasts are AMAZING... all fresh ingredients, beautifully prepared and presented. ( the breakfasts were given a 5 star rating in a recent hotel inspection !)

Morawel is in a quiet and peaceful location. There is parking on site, and just yards away there are extra parking facilities, a handy bus stop, and a fascinating old pub .

I had a fantastic 4 days exploring the stunning coastline of North Pembrokeshire... but my trip was made extra special by the generosity, kindness and hospitality of Andrew and Theresa.

During a recent world trip we stayed in many hotels and B&B's Morawel by far was the most enjoyable of all the B&B's that we stayed in. We had a one night stopover in Fishguard, Wales before catching the ferry to Ireland and had not booked anywhere to stay. After asking at the local pub for a reccomendation they didn't hesitate to suggest the Morawel B&B and we are so glad they did. We called them quite late hoping they could fit us in, no easy feat as we also had two children with us, but they made the effort to get a beautiful room ready for us at short notice. The room was the biggest, cleanest and most comfortable that we had ever encountered in a B&B it was more like a suite as it had a beautiful large and private bathroom which was welcome as our son got sick during the night. Andrew & Teresa made us so welcome from the word go even waiting outside to help us park our car! The breakfast that was included was something else! A beautifully set out dining room with matching dinner service, for starters a platter of nine different fresh fuits (many grown on site) arranged beautifully on your plate followed by cereals, yogurts, bacon ,eggs, sausages, tomatoes (once again grown on site) just about everything you could want for in a breakfast, the big hotels with their buffet breakfasts would have trouble competing with this humble B&B.Situated a short stroll to the quaint harbour you couldn't find a more beautiful or peaceful setting to enjoy your stay, we only wish we could have stayed longer with Andrew & Teresa to enjoy more of their wonderful hospitality.
