“Even when it's freezing the ice cream is great!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

On a day out to Barmouth with my daughter who is at uni in Aber we stopped off for an ice cream. As it was February it was freezing cold but we got stuck in and enjoyed two enormous ice creams! We also sat outside and watched the boats go by!

“Best Ice Cream Shop In Barmouth”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

If you want an ice cream while wandering around Barmouth beach or town you need to visit Knickerbockers. Their choice is perfectly split between flavours targetting children and ones for adults, and the fatty that I am I have tried most of them and loved them all.

There are seats inside and out, in case you don't want to walk around with them, and the interior is wonderfully bright and cheerful.

If you like ice cream there is no reason you will not love Knickerbockers, can't fault it!

“Amazingly good ice cream”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

We are regular visitors to Snowdonia but it took a rare visit from our grandchildren to discover this little gem. The choice of ice cream is excellent with something designed to appeal to children but also 'grownup' choices all of them perfectly delicious. The setting is charming with seats outside from which you can enjoy views over the harbour and Cadair Idris. The service is not slow but sometimes the customers are! Be patient you will feel the same way when faced with the difficult choice. We are always tempted whenever we visit Barmouth.
