When we go to the seaside we love to have fish and chips on the harbourside. However, both times we went to this fish bar we had to wait an extraordinary length of time to get served. Once was on Saturday night, early. We had fish and chips and the fish was much smaller than we are used to. The chips were good and they were good again the next time we went just for chips. When we return to Barmouth we would seek out another fish and chip shop as this really did not meet the mark. 50 minutes standing out in the street with traffic pouring by. The lady who owned a neighbouring shop had to close as there were so many people on the pavement her customers could not get in. In addition, the girl who served us seemed to be half asleep on her feet. She did not speak, just grunted. This happened on both occasions. It seemed very rude although she could have been desperately ill. Other customers seemed to be getting the same treatment from other servers though. Left a nasty taste in my mouth all round.
