“Outstanding Hotel, beautiful location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW

Our 2 night stay was amazing. We had a sea view room which was clean and the view was beautiful. Ash greeted us when we arrived. He helped carry our luggage up to our room and helped us plan our outing for the next day.
The furnishings were tasteful. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The breakfast was lovely with eggs cooked the way you ordered them.

Room Tip: Choose a sea view room.

Spent three wonderful days at this lovely hotel. Staff were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The location of the hotel couldn't be bettered and is just a five minute walk into Barmouth and even less to the estuary bridge- a 700m walk that is well worth doing.
Our room was clean, well presented with stunning views over the estuary and the power shower was divine!
The breakfasts offered a wide choice which was well presented and well cooked.
We will return here when next in the area.

Room Tip: Room 9 is worth paying the sea view supplement for. Wifi is intermittent in that room tho and EE rec...

The hotel was lovely. Great welcome, we were the only guests for the first night... Great breakfast next morning. Nicely done out... None of that awful 'olde worlde' nonsense. Loved the view from our room, massive bed... A little firm, but comfy.
A really nice place to be... Really.
Oh, and the breakfast was fantastic! Tip top.

Excellent stay with stunning views over the estuary and mountains. The room was very clean and fresh and the hotel was a 5 min walk to the town centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good and well presented. We would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel and will be returning for another visit some time this year.

Room Tip: Room 3 with stunning views

Stayed Friday evening. Really lovely room facing the sea. Clean fresh décor and comfy bed. Didn't eat there in the restaurant in the evening but there was a great choice for breakfast the next morning. Friendly and hardworking staff!

we booked a family meal here via email for my parents 50th anniversary.

The location of the hotel takes full advantage of its hillside position with stunning views over the bay.

The lounge area was very warm and welcoming but modern and minimalist which some might interpret as cold. Personally loved it and plenty of room for our party to spread out.

Ashley was very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately the menus we were given were not what we had seen on the website and we had to ask for a child's menu but it all got sorted.

The food, service and surroundings were great. We aren't the easiest crowd to please and we can be quite noisy but being early season we more or less had the dining room to ourselves.

Would recommend for a meal definitely but we didn't stay at the hotel.

Stayed one night at the hotel on a dad and lads weekend break. It's a lovely hotel. Perfectly situated on the hill above harbour with stunning views. Staff are warm and welcoming. We stayed in the family room on the first floor above the dining room and whilst the room itself was smart and comfortable, if not a bit clinical, we could here every noise coming from not only the dining room but it seemed like every other adjacent room to ours. After a long day we decided to have an early night but at 10 pm after an hour of noise I had to go down to reception to ask them what was happening. Apparently the dining room was being rearranged after a function. After another 10 mins it finally went quiet and we managed to get some sleep. Apart from the paper thin walls and floors we had a good stay and the breakfast in the morning was ace. All in all a good hotel. Would stay there again.
