“A nice traditional pub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

Fast frendly service, good food - a tad pricey - and all without that terrible intrusive background music which seems to be the norm in many places these days

“Lucky to have found room at the Inn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

Staying in the wilds of Wales and just happened to chance on The Last Inn on a dreary, Tuesday night at the tail end of the season and we're lucky enough to be offered a table at 7pm as long as we vacated by 8.30. Fine by us.

No need to give a blow-by-blow, or should I say mouthful-by-mouthful, description of our meal. Suffice it to say that we booked again for Thursday night. Our party of four all had different entrees and all professed to be pleased with what they ordered.

The window seats/booths are lovely if you can get them. If the numbers when we were there are anything to go by, I suspect that this is an even more popular place in high season. I suggest that you book early to avoid the possibility of there being "no room at the Inn".

“Disappointing lunch”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

Lunch here was a disappointment. Close packed tables made it difficult to get in and out of my seat, and I'm not fat. The piped music was loud and unpleasant. My fishcakes were fine, but the salad of wilted leaves, tomato, raw onion and corn chips was quite unpleasant. I noticed other customers unable to eat theirs too. I got a far better lunch for less than half the price in Dolgellau.

“A really lovely pub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013

The Last Inn is a lovely pub with a great atmosphere. The food is very good value, very well cooked and very well presented. They have some good ales (it's a Marston's pub) and a good wine list as well.
The staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful and the decor is really quite romantic! It does get busy at times so if you want to eat at the weekend then I would recommend booking. There are a few seats outside on the roads edge and also on the grassy seating are across the road. Children and dogs are welcome.

“A Gem In Barmouth!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

We have been visiting Barmouth for many years and have visited the Last Inn on many occasions and have never been disappointed. We visited again at the weekend on a family weekend away. There is a good choice of beers and the food is superb. The pub gets very busy due to the high quality of the food and the atmosphere is second to none. Well worth a visit!
