Now I like Abdul’s, I even quite like Shampan, but Gulshan is just better, to be honest let’s ignore the market town limitations by way of competition, Gulshan would be better than the completion in most places.
Fresh clean modern décor hints at what will be presented to the table.
Easy but attentive service adds to the relaxed, assured feeling that you get from Gulshan.
Surely this is Bangladeshi fare at its finest.
Super fresh ingredients, delicately spiced. Every morsel a sheer joy.
Light, sweet soft, naan. Crisp, fresh papadoms with a good choice of lively pickles and dips.
Juicy Tandoori Chicken, Lamb and Chicken Tikka. Heavenly Tandoori King Prawn. Flavoursome sheek kebab.
Crisp, light, moreish onion bhaji, subtly spiced. The bhaji just under seasoned but when eaten with the accompanying onion and pepper mix became perfectly balanced. Fantastic.
Decent Keema Rice.
Lamb Mos-Posond was a bit of a shock to the eyes, vivid red and black with fenugreek. Lamb good and a thick sauce with a sweet flavour profile. Unusual to say the least.
Great value too.
