“Beautiful Golden Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

Go on a windy wild day and you will have the beach to yourself. The Atlantic rollers break over golden sands and you will wonder why you have never visited before. On better days enjoy the beach with others and you will be treated to white, golden sands, beautiful clear blue waters and simply stunning scenery. If you like an ice-cream, a deckchair and lots of company, then don't go!

“Luskentyre beach stunning and beautiful. Virtually no visitors.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

Luskentyre beach is probably one of the most beautiful in the world. Backdrop of the mountains
fantastic. No rubbish on the beach. Virtually no one on the beach. Ideal for a dip but water quite cool so you won't stay in long. Sand almost white. Of course Harris is quite a remote location in the UK being the Hebrides. Harris is very, very rocky. We are coming back next year in late June when it will be warmer and there is little doubt that we will spen some time on this beach. So wonderfully destressing. Nature has done an amazing job in such a beautiful location.

“Best view on Harris”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

We visited Luskentyre on this trip to find legendary Harris Tweed weaver Donald John MacKay MBE. Our first impression of this beach was wow!! The colour of the water was amazing on this lovely sunny day. Mr Mackay was an added bonus showing us the loom and how he weaves the Tweed. Not many people get to work in this setting lucky man.

“The VeryBest Harris Tweed in the most picturesque location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

A visit to Donald John McKay, Harris Tweed Weaver is a must visit for anyone to Harris. He is a wonderful, quiet, fascinating man who makes Harris Tweed in his workshop at Luskentyre. You can see the fabric being woven and Donald John explains the whole process. You can also purchase this unique cloth from the man himself.A wonderful keepsake of a visit to Harris.

“Tropical Appearance/Temperate Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012

This is one of the best beaches in the northern hemisphere. The sand is golden, flat and almost endless. The sea is a beautiful turquoise. On the few occasions each year when the temperaure allows it, this unspolit and uncrowded location must be one of the best places in the world to be beside the seaside.
