We stayed here 4 years ago, and were impressed by the quiet atmosphere and lovely gardens, plus good rooms and excellent service from hosts Mena and Robyn. On staying again this year, we found that the only thing that had changed was that it was even better! Dining is a feature, and the small but interesting menu is always changing. Check out the new pond in the garden!

We stayed there in late September 2004. The Dower House is an incredibly lovely family home in a little town near Inverness.
When we arrived we were greeted by Mena, the owner. She showed us to our rooms. Our suite was large and well decorated with a beautiful view of the gardens. It included a bedroom, sitting room and bathroom.
Mena invited us to have tea in the living room where we sat by the fire and just relaxed. That night we had a drink in the living room, then were served a three course dinner that was absolutely outstanding! Breakfast was just as good.
Dower House is a wonderful place to stay and we highly recommend it.
