“Great hostess, great place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

We have used this B and B many times. Jacqui is a great hostess and will make you feel that it really is a home from home. She could not be more welcoming. The garden is fabulous , the beach (good for swimming) is a ten-minute walk away and there is so much to do in the area. Le Petit Havre is around an hour from the port at St Malo, so very conveniently situated for ferries. Highly recommended - we hope to return soon!

We have had several enjoyable visits to Le Petit Havre, always made to feel very welcome. Lovely house and beautiful garden, rooms clean, fresh and charmingly decorated. In an ideal location for visiting many of Brittany's natural attractions, or as a stopover en route to the more westerly parts of the region. Jacqui has lots of great suggestions for things to do and see - we shall definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed 4 nights in Le Petit Havre and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Jacqui (the hostess) recommended a variety of places for us to visit and when we returned home in the evening she made us feel very welcome, encouraging us to use her lounge and garden to relax in. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and clean and the ensuite was clean and of a good size. We shall certainly visit Le Petit Havre again.

Room Tip: There is a downstairs bedroom which opens into the conservatory, which was being used when we were t...

Jacqui hits just the right note with her guests - a wonderful hostess in a serene, beautiful home environment that provides all you would hope for from a B&B. The house is warm and welcoming, with Jacqui sharing her encyclopaedic knowledge of the area in either French or English - she knows all the good places to visit in the area and can recommend cafes, bars and restaurants for miles around. Not to be missed!!!

We stayed here for a family get-together a few years ago, and recently returned for a weekend. It's a delight, particularly the garden (you can tell Jacqui is a keen gardener). A lovely place to sunbathe, or sit and read in the shade by the pond. There's lots to do in the area, and it's extremely well placed for walking along the coast. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and quiet and the breakfasts are classic French (with Jacqui's trademark jams). Also you can practice your French on Jacqui!

From start to finish - a wonderful, relaxing, fun break with friends. Fresh croissants and pain-au-chocolat fetched every morning from the bakery, along with delicious homemade jams enjoyed overlooking THAT garden - bliss!
A short, interesting walk to the quiet beach then on to personally recommended (by our hostess, Jacqui) restaurants and bars - and not forgetting the most wonderful Creperie situated right on the marina.
Sizeable bedrooms and bathrooms and in the morning, breakfast could be as late as we liked!
We had a blast - a great balance of tranquility, scenery and local culture all rolled into one little Haven.
