“Great food and atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

We stopped here for lunch and it was absolutely delicious. There are 2 bars one of which does not allow under 18's so we took our 2 yo to the other one and were not disappointed. The great thing was that it was full of other families which we find helps us to relax as we are not constantly trying to keep jnr quiet (though he is very well behaved!). The food was really nice although I have a feeling my dad was charged for both a soup AND a sandwich rather than the soup and sandwich meal so something to be mindful of. The food was really nice (delicious bramble and apple crumble which was HUGE) and they were happy to go off menu and provide beans for jnr. They have a good range of local beers too.
They also have a great climbing frame outside and wifi.

“Food And Entertainments Fabulous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

We stayed in glencoe and got the taxi service to this pub deep down a single track road snow drifting march on a friday night and saturday night. 300 Whiskies to choose from and try burts bees beer and also the westons scrumpy cider. Live band was fab on saturday night.

“A welcome break from the cold”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

We'd been up to the Signal Rock on a really cold windy day. On the way back, the kids announced they needed the toilet, so we popped in here to use the facilities.

On entering, you're greated by a log fire and friendly staff, so we decided to stop and have some lunch. We ordered BLTs for us adults and Aberdeen Angus burgers for the kids, then watched the deer outside while we waited.

I have to say that our BLTs were fab, however, the kids burgers were rather overcooked and charred round the edges to the point where my burger loving kids didn't eat more than half which is very unlike them.

So, if you fancy stopping by fr a sandwich and a coffee, this place is great. I'd just avoid the burgers.

“Great place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

Been here a few times, always great food and a large selection of drinks. Great atmosphere. Large log fires. Very welcoming especially after a long walk in glencoe itself. Well worth a visit.

“Great spot for lunch, wish I wasn't driving as they had a great selction of drinks”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2013

We stopped in for lunch and we felt the place really delivered in terms of atmosphere, quality of food for the price useful recommendations from friendly staff.

When you arrive, head to the "snug bar" to the right as it is much prettier than the one to the left and it has a real fire on and is really "snug" as the name rightly suggests. We went to the left bar for lunch and it was a bit standard in appearance, just a few mountaineering photos and articles on the walls to give it a bit of quirkiness. However, after lunch we had a walk, discovered the snug bar and had a coffee and soaked up the atmosphere for a while which was really nice and rustic.

Anyway, for the price of the food (about £9-12 per main) we really felt we got our money's worth. My wife had chicken cooked in oatmeal and I had venison casserole which the staff recommended, bot of which were really tasty and worth the money.

My only regret was that I was driving as they have a good selection of local Scottish craft beers on tap as well as a few nice single malts. I would have loved to have had a few pints, a whisky chaser and a nap....ah well, can't have it all.
