“Great value for money.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

Just returned after 2 day stay on living social voucher. Excellent value for money, straight forward no pretences B+B, Nice double room on front of building, hot bath or shower, very good filling cooked breakfast with fruit , cereal, toast etc , nothing too much bother.Parking at rear, may be narrow access but if you have passed your driving test you will have no bother! Only one slight annoyance, the village church is opposite and the clock chimes every quarter till 10 or 11 o,clock and restarts at 7.30 am, not the Saddle fault but if your a light sleeper and want to go to bed early or have a late lie in ask for a room at the back.

Room Tip: Like a peaceful sleep, ask for a room at the back. Perfectly positioned in a tranquil village,

Stayed here on a livingsocial offer. Owners very friendly and breakfast choices good, including vegetarian. Room comfortable and clean with a bath which was nice surprise. Car park very small and access very narrow, so park up on road if you have a large car. Almouth lacks good restaurants to eat for dinner unfortunately. But would definitely stay here again. Very handy for visiting the area.

We stayed here using a voucher, which was excellent value for money. The place was clean and staff friendly and helpful. We met up with several couples of our age, all doing voucher deals and it was hilarious at breakfast time comparing which sites we use and what deals we had bought. Alnmouth is a lovely town, with lots of restaurants and pubs but none of the glitz and amusement arcades of a larger seaside town. We love it.

Reallly enjoyed our stay. The village is lovely and the beaches outstanding. The four local pubs/hotel are very good and dog friendly , as is this bnb. Staff excellent, room well appointed and clean , breakfast well above average. For price we paid quite outstanding. Only one small criticism, room on top floor front was not warm when radiator was on and cold when heating went off at around 10.30 pm not coming on again till around 7.30 am (it was minus 3 outside so felt heating should be on 24/7) Overall highly recommended

Room Tip: bring a heater

just come home from 2 days away at the saddle in alnmouth village northumberland, we went there with friends with a living social voucher the deal was £69 for 2 nights b&b for 2 this is a lovely 8 bedroomed b&b the owners make you so welcome the breakfasts were of high standard and plenty of choice, the rooms were clean and warm and cosy the weather was so cold but the 2 pubs either side of the b&b had roaring fires on and also served great meals we shared a cab in to alnwick on our 2nd day which the landlady booked for us which is only 4 miles away overhall a great 2 day break.

Room Tip: room 6 large 2nd floor shower but no bath but room 3 has a bath

We booked this via Living Social and it was not until we arrived that we remembered we had been before. Good welcome from Mick who showed us to a more than adequate twin bedded room with en-suite. Not huge but enough room for us both to work. Bathroom good, if a little cold, but then the temperature outside was minus 1 or 2 with a cold wind. Soon warmed up when blind drawn and heat from bedroom allowed through the door. Both mornings very good breakfast with very homely and friendly service. Both nights slept well. Did not use the comfy looking lounge. When we go again to Alnmouth we will look to stay here again -voucher or no voucher
