“Loved The Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2008 for a stay in September 2008

it was a pleasure to stay at this establishment. Simone and her staff were so helpful and friendly and the breakfast is wonderful.
The whole place is spotless and the beds really comfortable. Will stay again if in the area.

“Perfect Perfection! What a Gem!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2008 for a stay in September 2008

Well what can I say; where to start!!
This was our 4th visit to Sefton House & it just gets better everytime.
The house is beautifully decorated (we have even copied a few decor ideas for our own home) & in keeping with the fabulous original victorian features! The atmosphere is immediately homely, cosy & welcoming as soon as you enter through the front door.
The bedrooms are perfect! Wonderfully decorated and with all the luxuries you could hope for - T.V., coffee/tea facilities, en-suite, beautiful comfy bedding.
The favourite part of stays at Sefton House has to be at breakfast time. You can decide the evening before which tasty delights you are going to sample and at what time - the full english & kippers are highly recommended and always cooked to perfection!
The owner, who lives next door (but completely respects your privacy), is always on hand to meet & greet you & is only too happy to help with any quieries you may have.
The location is also perfect... 20 seconds from the most stunning beach & views & off the main street away from other visitors, although only minutes walk from the shop, bars & restaurants! What more could anyone ask for?
We are hoping to rent out the whole of Sefton House on our next visit so we can show off our wonderful find to friends & family !.... we are even considering next xmas & new year... it would be the perfect place to spend xmas with the family!
We highly recommend this perfect little gem to anyone after a relaxing value-for-money break!

“Everything we hoped for”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2008 for a stay in September 2008

This was the first time we had been to Northumberland and it was abit 'hit and miss' as to where we stayed. We needn't have worried. The lady at Sefton House was friendly and did everything possible to ensure we enjoyed our stay. She was happy to provide an early breakfast and pointed us in the right direction as to the best places to visit, taking into consideration the ailments of my elderly mother.
The room was very clean, nicely decorated and we were well supplied with tea, coffe and biscuits. We opted for poached eggs for breakfast although the full breakfast being served definately went down well with the other guests.

Sefton House is just around the corner from the harbour and high street. A lovely spot and we'd definately go back to Sefton House

“Cosy luxury”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2008 for a stay in October 2007

Great place. A lovely Victorian House fashionably decorated with high quality furnishings, and a lounge for guests. I only saw the two king first floor bedrooms but these were both fabulous. The owner lived next door at the time, so we felt like you had the place to ourselves which was great.
The breakfast was great, everything you could possibly want.
The location is superb, just off the beach end of Alnmouth High St. I couldn’t believe how many stars we could see at night time. Even if you don’t stay here do come to Alnmouth, and make sure you eat in the pub part of the Red Lion, one of best traditional pubs I have ever eaten in. Food was amazing – some modern, fine dining equivalents, some dishes traditional pub grub style. Great portions too.
Only down side that when we stayed in Oct the garden king was a tiny bit on the chilly side (could have done with the radiator on) but that wouldn’t put us off staying in that room in winter again.

“A Perfect Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2008 for a stay in March 2008

We arrived at Sefton House a little later than expected but received a very warm welcome. The room was really nicely decorated, warm and well kept. There were facilities for making Fairtrade hot chocolate and tea in the room.

We were offered a menu for the next day's breakfast when we arrived with a wide variety of options and a flexible dining times. It certainly didn't disappoint! It was cooked to a wonderful standard and kept us going until well past lunch time!

We had a wonderful stay, it is an excellently run B&B in a wonderful location (a stone's throw from the beach!) with excellent pubs just down the road. We would certainly consider a return visit!

“Enjoyed our stay - well looked-after and good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2008 for a stay in February 2008

The whole place was very clean, well-kept, tastefully decorated and well furnished. Though the location wasn't the most spectacular available, it was convenient for the beach, the golf course, and local walking. The cooked breakfast was extremely good. The only down-side was that the room was a little bit cold. The room was pretty good value, and the owner was very friendly and helpful.
