“ONLY pub in the area”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

went to staithes after soemone recommended coming here
upon walking in there's a tearoom, then at the bottom a pub cod and lobster, and another place for icecream and tea, so cod and lobster is like the only place to eat here!!

and because its the only place to eat, it got VERY busy (tuesday 8th july- 29 degrees hot)
only one bar staff, food time 30 minutes
seating of the pub on the inside uncomfortable, the stools was high table was low, so you couldn't sit and stay long
we ordered 2 fish and chips... yes it was actually worth the wait... either that or we was starving!!
batter fluffy, extremely fresh white haddock
chips was fluffy
mushy peas wasn't good though
2 pints of cola and two fish and chips £20

p.s no service at all... apart from the one bar staff, no other staff could be seen except for another female who brought the food out but disappeared quick. AND lunchtime menu VERY LIMITED!!!

“Fantastic location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013 via mobile

Ate here two times whilst holidaying in Staithes. Very welcoming atmosphere and the staff were very friendly (as was everyone we met in the fantastic little Village) Food was good and the servings were very generous. Can recommend the Fish & Chips.
