“Fantastic B&B. Would highly recommend it.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2010

This is a quaint bed & breakfast in a picturesque setting within the heart of the Cotswolds. The host, Vivien, is charming and makes you welcome. The breakfast is delicious and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. Turkdean is close to Stow on the Wold, and other well known Cotswold attractions. We have visited every year for the last four years and have never been disappointed.

I stayed with my teenage daughter for just one night, and it was absolutely lovely. The house was beautifully decorated, and quintessentially British. Viven was the most superb host, letting us relax in the charming garden, cooking the most delicious breakfast in the morning and was so very friendly and accommodating. A delightful position, with great access to the south Cotswolds which we had not explored so much previously, with the Bell at Sapperton nearby being a fantastic pub which we had a super meal at. Couldn't recommend Yew Tree Cottage enough and hope to be back this year!

My daughter and I were welcomed by Vivien (the owner) and after 3 minutes we knew we were going to have a wonderful experience at this delightful Cotswold B & B. The house is beautiful and because of the snow and freezing temperatures, we were delighted to be so warm and cosy. We enjoyed a drink by the fire with Vivien and watched her cook our breakfast on the Aga in the morning. The home made compote, jam and bread made us realise how talented our host is in the kitchen. Vivien has exquisite taste in home furnishings and her home could not be more elegant, welcoming, comfortable and clean.

We travelled all the way from Australia to stay at a nice place in the English countryside. What we got at Yew Tree Cottage was a delight - a charming hostess in Vivien, one of the best breakfasts we have had anywhere and a cottage that delivered one of the most relaxing stays you could ask for. Highly recommended for just dropping out for a while!

Vivien was a lovely host, who made us feel very welcome. The cottage was spotless and we can honestly say that the breakfast was worthy of a 5 star hotel! She was extremely friendly and helpful with the local area as we wanted to go out to eat locally, even phoning ahead for us to check availability.

The lovely bedroom and bright bathroom and the attention to detail was second to none.

The area is beautiful and ideal for exploring the Cotswolds, views outstanding!

We would recommend to anyone seeking a romantic get away.

Vivien is the perfect Cotswolds host! She prepares a breakfast fit for a king.
Yew Tree Cottage is beautiful and a perfect base in which to explore your surroundings.
Having Gully and B meet and greet you is an added delight and for those nervous of dogs rest assured these two labradors are very placid and friendly.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can truly say we would like to return in the near future.

We've been to Yew Tree Cottage many times and we'll return as often as we can. The hospitality, food and rooms are delightful. Vivien is very kind and welcoming - it's the Cotswolds at its best.
