I stayed there for two nights in May 2007. I had booked a standard single room and the first night I was given a room for three persons with a separate kitchen and a separate bathroom! He said: Sorry, the single room was occupied. Okay, I didn't mind... A week later on the second day I again was given a three-bedded room for the same reason, this time a very spacious room at the front of the house. And all this for 20 pounds per night! It's the cheapest B&B in Britain I've encountered until now. And they have a reasonable English breakfast as well in a very small but cosy room. A drawback were the taps in one of the bathrooms, covered with toothpaste. Apart from that it was clean enough. The hotel is also near Harwich Town station. Despite its name though, it doesn't have an ocean view, but it is very near the sea, so no problem there. I'm going again in July, only this time the price will be 25 pounds. Oh, and I can recommend Harwich as a nice coastal town, not just as a pass-through for other locations after leaving the ferry.
