Please be patient was written on the blackboard as we entered the restaurant. We waited over an hour for our food which when served was oven chips, cold vegetables, over cooked whitebait, very fatty gammon and presentation lacking. The table behind us had already complained and we hoped ours would be better, sadly it was not. We were offered free sweets as compensation but decided we didn't want to wait again for a pudding which was probably mediocre. The waitress informed us that she only served there and not to have a go. This pub could have so much going for it but not with food of this standard. We will not be going back as they are plenty of others with fresh food and pleasant staff, what a shame
