We visit Lyme often and always hope The Whole Hog is open (it closes for some weeks off season). The roast pork or chicken is cooked fresh on the premises and served with all the appropriate trimmings-crackling,stuffing, apple sauce, caramelised onions etc. all in a huge soft white bap. Filling and very tasty. Cold drinks and coffees also available. The young couple who own the place are charming. Go early though before they sell out. They used to do fabulous breakfast baps whilst the roasts were cooking - filled with hash browns, bacon and egg. We wish they would bring them back! Only downside was they were so filling we may not have had room for their roast baps at lunchtime;)
